“New Year's Eve disaster”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

This is the third time we have spent New Year's Eve at the colosseum as will probably be the last. The two previous years were great but last night was a third rate shambles. Food took three hours to serve, coffee was served by one person for the whole venue, long waits between courses. Table decorations were cut to the bare minimum this year. No real entertainment apart from a singer who was okay but not on long enough, three people banging drums more like something for a children's party and a shabby disco with dreadful sounds and effects. What happened to the band was this another cutback, very poor show for a venue like the colosseum as one that charges £56 per heAd at that, surely someone needs a rocket for the appalling event organisation.

“Another great Christmas Party”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

For the 2nd year on the bounce my company chose The Colosseum as the host venue for the Christmas party and it was yet again amazing

We had our very own VIP area sectioned off which the company used before the main even kicked off..the staff were very attentive and we had no complaints.

When the main event kicked off we all headed to the main room where a delicious 3 course dinner was served to our tables - the music entertainment was very tasteful and the whole evening ended with a disco until the early hours.

We will be hopefully using this again next year and we know we won't be disappointed.

“Nutcracker ballet”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

Took my three daughters to see this beautiful production. Tickets bit expensive and the bar very expensive!! Apart from that the ballet was absolutely stunning and worth watching. My girls thoroughly enjoyed it.

“Excellent shows, shame about the cafe food.”
Reviewed 19 December 2013

The shows are usually very good and the latest show was the London Philly with London Chamber choir which was also broadcast over radio 3. This was brilliant but, due to timing, we couldnt use the restaurant which is very good and went for the cafe bar food. Big mistake as there was a tremendous cold draft through the entrance doors which meant everyone had to keep their overcoats on. The food was cold and service shambolic as a poor girl was trying to get through the milling crowd ordering drinks from the bar without apparently knowing who had ordered the food. We would have sent the food back but couldnt spot the waitress and had to go into the show.
In future we will try to plan better and have a meal in the restaurant which is good food and service.
