“A hidden gem”
Reviewed 29 August 2013 via mobile

This is such a lovely garden. There is a small green area where you can have a picnic and also a wide range of trees that provide a cooling shade in summer.

Although small the garden offers a great hideaway and exploring ground for kids

“Delightful Garden”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

Thanks Google & Trip Advisor for helping me find these. We spent an hour just wandering around, a surprising amount so see in a free garden. Beautifully maintained.
Will definitely go back .
And to think all those years driving along the main road, never knowing they were there.

“A hidden gem in Watford”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

A very small and quiet park, a lovely place to relax with a book or just chill, or have a nice picnic.
Regrettably, there doesn't seem to be any cafe or a restaurant, and the gardens are closed shortly after 5 pm.
Overall, a really lovely and cosy little retreat.

“A hidden garden”
Reviewed 26 June 2013

This is a small garden attached to Chesley House. You can't visit the house but the garden is free. There are lovely paths meandering throughout the garden, a small fish pond and a bird avery, as well as a lovely woodland area. There is limited free parking and the garden is never crowded.

It's just the right size for small children to visit without getting bored.

“tranquility”
Reviewed 21 May 2013

has to be visited... its peaceful, clean, the gardens are amazing and its free. The garden and house were donated to the people of Watford many years ago. What a lovely thing to do. Especially as so many of the houses and open spaces in the area are being lost to housing developments. please take the time to go here.
