“'Stopover on the way to Cornwall'”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2012

My husband and I travelled down to Watford to see my son and his partner before heading off to Newquay. We stayed in Croxley Green just the one night - the room was excellent, albeit basic (but you would expect that anyway - so no shock to the system there!). The reception staff were extremely welcoming and the location was excellent for us. We didn't opt for breakfast as we were eating at our son's but the menu looked great, albeit a bit pricey. Would we use this particular Premier Inn again? Yes we would and if anyone out there is looking for a budget hotel in Watford, this is it.

Lenny Henry is true to his word :-)

thank you for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Ask at reception before going to your rooms whether there are two of each of both pillows and towels...

Slightly expensive for a budget hotel in that location, you will hear road noise if your on one side of the hotel, restaurant was lousy for an evening meal. If you eat out and just sleep there go ahead.

Room Tip: The say you pay for what you get, this is slightly overpriced for the location. Its very clean but...

Great accommodation with all the facilities I needed. Handy Restaurant and good breakfast in the morning. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
Would recommend this hotel and will definitely be back

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear are probably quieter but the double glazing does mean the outside noise is not not...

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Harry Potter & Legoland. Great location, nice pub attached, room was nice. Car park is free if your staying in hotel so don't put a ticket on go straight to reception. Would stop here again when in the area.

It's your usual Premier Inn, but with 5 stars! Lovely room, attentive and friendly staff, a peaceful nights sleep! As soon as we walked through the door a smiling receptionist greeted us, she was very friendly and offered assistance wherever possible. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Imperial Leather shower wash in the bathroom! We went to the Brewer's Fayre next door for dinner which was fantastic; 2 x 3 course meals, a bottle of wine and a couple of ciders worked out at around £60. We were in the area to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour; only 8 minutes drive away and easy to find. Would highly recommend this Premier Inn, and it should be the flagship for all Premier Inn's!

we stayed at the hotel as we were asttending the weeding of my cousin. there were lots of guests from abroad, staying at my cousin's place, hence we stayed at the hotel. My uncle had a number of rooms booked out for the week for family and we decided to use a couple of the rooms.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. the hotel was about 10 minutes drive from my cousin's place, so was very convenient.
we didnt have any breakfast as we had very early starts, however, thosewe who did, said they enjoyed it very much. No issues at all and if we visit the area again, we would definitely stay here again.
One of the main things when staying at a premier inn, is you know what you iwll get. the rooms we used were very well laid out, bathrooms very clean and a good night sleep was had.
Great hotel with lots of parking too. Thanks Premier Inn

When you book a Premier Inn you know what you are going to get, a reasonable room with reasonable facilities which is nice and clean and comfortable and reasonably priced, Croxley Green didn't dissappoint in any of these.
The staff however are outstanding friendly, attentive, professional and just great. If I need to stay in Watford again I would definately stay here.
We didn't eat at all in the hotel but that was purely down to timings (late arrival, early departure) but I have had PI breakfast before and if you have kids (they eat free) then this is great value.
It is about 10 minutes walk away from Croxley Green tube station (which was our reason for staying).
