All the staff we met from reception to bar staff & waitresses very friendly & helpful.
We stayed on the 3rd floor lovely room.
Bed was so comfy. Room had soft lighting sky tv & docking station
Room was spotless. Bathroom had a bath with overhead shower ,heated towel rail plenty of hot water & was spotless.
Plenty of tea coffee (biscuits were very hard & thick didn't want to break a tooth)
Towels were good size & thicker than you usually get but not very soft.
Plenty of complimentary lovely smelling toiletries ( & you welcome to take them home with you :) )
Nice touch was the bottle of water. The room was chilly on arrival & we couldn't get the heater to work but that was immediately sorted.. Included was iron & ironing board ,cool air blower was also available for summer.
We dined at the hotel - very good food if a tad expensive ,as was the wine but we had such a lovely relaxed time was worth it.
There was a wedding reception at the time & the music seemed to get loud & we hadn't finished eating so we took our coffee up to our room,
Unfortunely at night there was a hummimg noise and outside our room was big metal pipes & looked like an extractor fan but suppose it has to go somewhere, so sleep was difficult with that & the music but the bed & duvet was so comfy we snuggled.
Breakfast was reasonable bacon was fatty didn,t look very nice & the mushrooms I would say tinned sausages lovely & plenty of fruit toast pastries& juice.
Also the gym was available for free which we didn,t have time to use.

Room Tip: Perhaps if on the 3rd floor ask for a room at the front (car park is at the front)

The staff were really helpful, and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
Wasn't too impressed on the bar food but was good. And the spa and pool was so relaxing with really helpful staff. Absolutely loved my stay :) definitely worth it!

Hi Ivan G,

Great to have your review - glad you loved your stay!-

Our superb comfy beds are 'Sealy' - there is a link on our website. With the weather we are having at the moment it will be hard not to be tempted and hibernate until spring!

Regards,
Heather Hoskins,
Deputy General Manager.

The walsall village hotels stayed here twice in October both for 5nights and could not fault it very clean rooms good service from all the staff rooms clean cleaned every day to high standard only down side if their was one is the drinks in bar can be expensive double vodka and coke £7.65 beer was cheap when sports we're playing on TV then £2.50 a pint. Hotel allows free use of gym and swimming pool for guests which is a nice touch. On the whole well recommended

I am never disappointed when I stay in one of their hotels. We have a limited budget for business expenses and I always try to look out for 'deals' at Village hotels. Easy to get to, free parking an on-site Starbucks (if you like them!), leisure facilities, a pub and a restaurant (not exactly fine dining, but acceptable) and what's more free WiFi that is easy to get on to. Bathrooms very basic; if you like nice quality toiletries - take your own, as they only have those nasty dispensers (a personal dislike). Comfy beds, soft white towels and a good breakfast to start the day.

What sets this site aside from other village hotels are the staff...REALLY friendly and helpful.

Could not get a 'deal' last week, but they are a bargain when you are lucky enough to find one. If you pay by credit card, they will charge you an extra £2, so take your debit cards with you.

Room Tip: Try to get an upgrade (always worth asking) as they are much nicer than the basic rooms
