Hilton Puckrup Hall, Tewkesbury
Ranked #4 of 7 Hotels in Tewkesbury
Reviewed 6 March 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for a weekend in February and was very impressed. The location of the hotel is ideal being just off the m50 but not to near so you get the traffic noise. It's close to lots of places like Worcester, Tewkesbury and Cheltenham, managed to visit them all over our stay.

The leisure facilities are great with an ample size pool and steam room and hot tub to relax in. Rooms are of a good size although paid a bit extra for a balcony and was literally size of a postage stamp. But having sky sports quickly made up for that.

Breakfast was lovely, staff were very friendly and looked after us well. Some of the breakfast items weren't there on my first trip up but they were quickly replenished.

Would certainly recommend this hotel for a relaxing weekend break

I was looking for our stay at the Hilton Pickrup Hall but I have to be honest it was a huge let down. The hotel just needs a proper face lift.
The rooms are very old. Yes, there is LCD TV but the furnitures and the feeling of the room is 1980. Not to mention the bathroom, basically they need to be changed ASAP as everything is falling apart.
The restaurant looked nice but we decided to eat out because we just lost faith in the property after seeing the rooms.
The breakfast was ok but the buffet food wasn't very fresh. Eggs not replaced and cheap fatty bacon.
It was one of this places where we just checked out at 0900am after breakfast, not a pleasent place to be around.

Dear moschino24_98

Thank you for filling out a review on Trip Advisor.

I am disappointed you felt your room did not meet your expectations of a Hilton Hotel.

It is a pity you did not eat in our restaurant as we receive many positive comments about the quality and service provided in there.

We do replenish the breakfast buffet regularly and I am sorry you were not satisfied in this respect.

I do hope we get another chance to welcome you back to Hilton Puckrup Hall in the near future.

With kind regards.

we attend a craft show year every at Malvern, and its always a pleasure to stay here,
we booked 3 months prior, got a great deal £157.00 per night ,Dinner ,Bed & Breakfast,
there were some supplements on the menue, but the food and service were that good that it still made excellant value, all the staff were a credit to Hilton Hotels,
We spend at least 75-100 nights a year in Hotels around the U.K, i Just wish there were more like this,
If your in the area you would be mad stay anywhere else!!
Will be back next year.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 143 a lovely view of the golf course

I always stop here when working in this area, I keep coming back, everyone from the friendly reception staff to the cleaners always welcome you with a smile and a greeting. Some of the rooms are becoming a little dated but I turn a blind eye to this because of the service I get from the staff. I can't fault the food in the resteraunt or the bar.

Overnight stay with large family group. Staff were helpful when we asked for an additional sofa bed to be put in the room. The rooms are slightly dated but were spacious and clean.
The dining experience was excellent, even catering for children with their own menu.

A reasonable, but not top class, Hilton standard. Polish visitors will feel especially welcome, as many of the staff appear to come from there. I was in a small suite, with a nice balcony and a view of the golf course and gym. As other guests have mentioned, some repairs are needed.

The chef was doing an excellent job of achieving his profit targets, which made the breakfast buffet somewhat disappointing for a Hilton. There was a big tub of tomato sauce, in which guests could hunt a lonesome baked bean. The neighbouring tub of water allegedly contained some scrambled eggs. And while the sausages probably did contain some unnamed meat, the cheap knives provided had some difficulty cutting into them.
