The reception staff went out of their way to accommodate our friends in an adjoining room to us. We were previously booked in on different floors. The bathrooms had a bath and not a shower only and the bathroom itself was spacious. The heating system worked well and easy to adjust. One problem though was that the lighting above the bathroom mirror was not adequate to apply make up or for shaving and the same goes for the bedroom mirror. Maybe a better lighting system would be in order. But that is just a small problem. It certainly would not stop us from returning if the occassion arose.

Just returned from a really good value golfing break with a large group. Overall, a really good choice. Decent facilities & accommodation, excellent food, a challenging course in fair condition (considering the past extreme weather) and friendly staff (Tom in Pro Shop in particular). Only down side was not having private dining facilities which would have benefited both our golf party and fellow guests. We will definitely consider a return visit. Thank you.

An excellent choice made by my daughter for her wedding....whole experience was wonderful and I can highly recommend as a wedding venue. The reception was held in the Old Manor section was is an ideal self contained section of the Hotel. Service from the staff was impeccable, food lovely, both at reception and morning breakfast.

The hotel is in a good location, there is a golf course and has spa facilities, the rooms were clean and what is expected from such a chain. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and the service at breakfast was very good, however, I found the service in the bar in the evening lacking. I will be fair and say that it was Mothers day weekend and assume the hotel was fully booked plus there was a wedding reception at the hotel in the evening, however the service in the bar area was poor -we sat at a table that was full of empty glasses (from the previous customers) the bar was not very busy - we ordered our meal and the barman acknowleged where we were sitting and said to give him 5 minutes and he would clear the table -30 minutes later he eventually did this, during this time there were 2 barmen behind the bar and one at the end of the bar - they were not serving any customers so I am not sure why it took them so long- then after our food arrived it took another 40 minutes for our plates to be cleared - during this time the bar was left empty and we had to wait for 10-15 minutes for a barman to arrive to order our next drink.
The next day we booked the Mothers day meal - they asked us to wait in the bar while they finished dressing the restuarant - when they called us in, we were told that the meal was of buffet style - there were no serving spoons/tongs in the salad bar - again a 10 minute wait for this to be rectified and a lack of cake knifes at one of the dessert tables.
Our bill had to be amended twice as we had been doubled charged for the late checkout and then again for the mothers day meal - and although having paid for a late checkout our cards expired and we had to go back to reception to reactivate them- the receptionist was a little embarrased and smiled sweetly and said - oh hello - you again!!
We ordered coffee to sit out on the veranda - this took a little while as the staff were in a bit of a flap because a customers order of sandwhiches had gone missing... In the end we just had to laugh - I think that they may have been a little stretched on staff and had possibly new and inexperienced staff on duty.
Overall, due to the surroundings and the room comfort - I would stay here again but would eat out in Tewkesbury in the evening instead.

Dear mwgfelix,
Thank you so for your detailed report. It really does help fellow travellers when they are seeking a Hotel to stay in an area they may not know.
It was a very hectic weekend for us however that is no excuse for the poor service in the bar, I will ensure the Manager of the department is aware of your feedback. I am sorry your room cards expired before the extended departure time especially as this is a simple process on Checkin and should of been performed to provide you with a hassle free stay. Again this feedback will passed on to the teams.
I am glad to read that you will return to us and hopefully we can show you that this was a one off and provide you with the first class service we can deliver.

Kind regards

Just back from a lovely stay at Puckrup Hall. A great location to visit Worcester, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Malvern. About 5 minutes drive from Tewkesbury with a few shops to wander round. The food in the hotel is lovely and great value £19 for 2 courses, £23 for 3 courses. All freshly cooked. If your a golfer than this is a hotel for you. With a championship golf course which always seems to be busy. There is also a spa with treatments should you wish. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the golf course. A couple of little minors - our evening meal was somewhat overtaken by a group of women golfers obviously having a good night at the end of the restaurant but got rather carried away that other guests couldn't hear themselves think, not quite what we had planned. The other little minor was they had only put one towel in our bathroom but this was quickly sorted. Will definately return as there are other places we want to visit

Just come back from Puckrup Hall after staying bed and breakfast evening meal and 2rounds of golf. Hotel is great, rooms are lovely, beds comfortable. Golf course was a bit wet but there has been so much rain lately. Food in hotel was a bit pricey but you are paying for good service. Would go again but in the summer to play golf.

Dear GaynorA,

Thank you for your recent review. I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay. As you mentioned the course has been very wet due to the bad weather in recent months, lets hope these nice sunny days will remain so the course can get back to its full glory.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Hotel again in the summer.

Kind regards

This was the first time that I had returned to the hotel since I had attended a family wedding there a few years ago. I was pleased to see that standards remain high, with the staff on Reception and in the Dining Room deserving of a special mention for their high levels of customer service, friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency.

My bedroom was very comfortable and well appointed. I ate dinner in the hotel, which was well presented and of a good quantity and quality, as was breakfast the following morning.

I was on a very good dinner, bed and breakfast rate booked through the Hilton website. The dinner inclusive rate was not available on the consolidator websites such as booking.com. The only downside to my stay was the lack of free wifi, so I read my book instead!
