Heard about this place and we came on Saturday 31st for a bit of lunch. 2 small grand children. Initially pushed towards the buffet but found a snack menu. Excellent fare and very friendly staff. Coming back on 27th with some grown ups for an evening meal. Well worth a visit.

Love, love, love! Akamba is a must visit place, so different to any other garden centre, metal animals greet you as you drive into the car park. African music plays in the background, palm trees and jungle shrubbery lines the garden paths with more African sculptures. It is a maze of beauty with lots of little seating areas, you feel like your abroad which makes this place unique and relaxing. The shop has some beautiful African art and gifts. The cafe/restaurant serves some delicious grub both lunchtime and dinner. They hold regular events and tribute nights where the atmosphere is awesome. You have to see it to believe it. My fiancé and I are having our wedding reception here in a few weeks and we know it will be a wedding like no other to our guests :)

Lovely place and setting. Food nice. Feels bit rushed when arrive and main push is for buffet and had to ask for main and snack menu.

Hello, sorry you felt a little pushed towards the buffet, its because its fresh and ready, meaning no wait for your food as all the menu food is cooked fresh from scratch and can take some time on busy days, I hope you got what you wanted in the end. Really glad you felt like you were on your second safari, thats a huge compliment for us, and thank you for taking time out to write your review. Hope to see you soon. Asante Sana.

We went to Akamba for an evening wedding reception and everyone had a great lively time. Good reggae band, fire-eater and friendly staff (one of whom went around the tables doing card tricks). The garden area was great to lounge about in or escape to and be surrounded by life size animal structures and tropical plants. The following morning going back to collect the cars we witnessed a garden centre with a café and craft shop. The whole enterprise seemed to be supporting worthwhile enterprises in Africa. Food and drink aplenty; highly recommended.

Hello, thank you for our really kind review, glad you picked up the vibe and enjoyed yourself, Akamba is all about enjoyment and Africa, as you said everything is made with love in Kenya, for us to enjoy here in the UK. Once again thank you.
