“Sensational at the Solihull theatre”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

We went see a 1950s-esque musical show called 'The Twist'. It was really enjoyable. It was part of my hen-do as I love going to the theatre. We all dressed up in 1950s style clothing. The theatre is small but has all the facilities you would expect in a larger place. The seats are good size as is the stage.

Conveniently located in the Touchwood shopping centre.

“Great little venue”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

Went to Solihull Arts Complex to watch Nina Conti on Saturday night. There is loads of parking at Touchwood for £1.50 only 5 minutes walk (if that) from the venue. Inside there is a bar area with reasonably priced drinks and good service, the theatre itself is quite small but the seats are well tiered so everyone gets a great view, we were on Row B but felt like we were almost on the stage. The show itself was great by the way.

“Good site and service”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

I was very pleased on the theatre site and the ease of booking which I felt very helpful as I now live in Cornwall. The show we watched was ABBA and was very good indeed. I was a bit disappointed towards the end as the audience was invited to standup and dance and people who needed to sit behind them could not see the end of the show.

“Arts Complex with a Difference”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

Based in Touchwood in the centre of Solihull, the Arts Complex is in the same building as Solihull Library and comprises of a Theatre, Box Office,Cafe Bar, Gallery and Tourist Information Centre. The nearest car park is on Homer Road but it is only a short walk from the rail station and buses, which stop near the Touchwood Shopping Centre. There is always something of interest going on from art exhibitions in the library and a variety of live shows in the theatre. Presently showing is the musical 'There's no Business Like Show Business'.

There's an excellent programme of plays, musicals, ballet, bands, etc.over the next few months e.g. there is a Military Band Concert on 12 October and the annual pantomime 'Jack and The Beanstalk' will run from 13 December to 5 January 2014. Do look at the website. The café bar is very popular and has a good snack menu and delicious coffee is served. Altogether a very welcoming place to visit.

“Pantomime for everyone (including the tv ignorant)”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

As a family we have been to every panto here for many years. They are always great fun, very traditional and no constant references to television programmes that you may not have seen, (unlike bigger productions with "big names" in them. Long may they continue!
