Stayed here when attending a conference and exhibition in the NEC.

The rooms were fine - as you would expect in a Premier Inn. It's location very good - convenient for the NEC, shops in Solihull and the M42.

The restaurant was good value and good food.

Parking was atrocious. This was in the nearby multistory but I had to pay 3 times for 1 nights stay. I arrived at 17:15 paid for 1 hour while I checked in. I then had to return to pay for the overnight stay (can't do this before 6:00pm) and then I had to return in the morning before 8:00 am to pay again for 2 hours as I wasn't leaving till just after 9. Absolutely no chance of a lie in if you stay here.

I would have expected the premier inn to have come to some sort of arrangement for guests but this is not the case so beware.

Excellently located in Solihull town centre.
Was used as a base to visit family and visit tourists attractions. Within walking distance of Solihull railway station and excellent bus links to all parts of Birmingham and Solihull.
Room was excellent and no complaints.
Stayed on a Saturday night and had a good nights sleep with no disturbances.

I had to book a Hotel in Solihull due to some work. I booked saver room for £29 which is more than a real deal as I got a super luxury room on 2nd Floor! Rooms are much better than Holiday Inn and Travelodge. Overall an excellent experience as it was my first time with Premier Inn and staff was more than helpful and nice!

I went to this premier inn and it's was very expensive and did not get a good night sleep due to noise outside and noise in the room. All you could here was traffic from the main road out side and then you could here the extractor fan in the bathroom all night with the door closed. All so you could here the people above walking around during the night. Also beware of the parking. All night parking starts from 18:00 until 8:00am so if you want a lie in you will have to be up before 8:00am to put another ticket on the car. Also the staff here don't seem to believe in the good night sleep guarantee it to for ever for them to realise that I had not had a good night sleep.

Staff very efficient, and friendly with no apparent faults in very clean, fresh and inviting rooms.I rate this hotel excellent.Car park adjacent is handy with very reasonable overnight fee but could work out expensive if leaving car there in daytime,
Perfectly placed to explore the local area with great shopping and choice of bars and places to eat.Solihull is my hometown and has improved greatly in the last 15 years,Birmingham city centre is now also superb, well worth a visit.
This visit has impressed and seriously considering returning from devon to take full advantage of all this area has to offer...

Stayed for two night at the City Centre Premier Inn Hotel which is relatively newly opened.
On arrival we noticed we only had towels for one person so requested more,we asked several more times but never got them!!
We went out for the day and arrived back around 5pm, our room had not been touched no replacement teas milks or coffee and the bed was still unmade.
Our friends room had been serviced but not ours.
The location is ideal for shopping restaurants and the NEC.
If needing a taxi Able Taxi's are very good, friendly and reasonable.
The Hotel was clean and modern as you would expect with a newly opened Hotel.
Breakfast was good and worth the money.
The staff need to smile a bit more.

.....not the hotel's fault but it's really not easy to find and the parking is appalling. The nearest car park is a pay and display type, or park by text. The text system was clearly designed by someone with far too much time on their hands in an attempt to make it the most difficult process possible. You can't have parking that ends past 0759 the next day - you have to pay for this then text again to add extra hours. You don't get an acknowledgment or a receipt. If you need a receipt you have to register on the web site and it's not available until after midday the day after your parking ends. Complete nonsense and they managed to charge me twice.

Anyway, the hotel is as you'd expect - usual good quality rooms and pleasant staff, typical Premier Inn.

Sorry to say I won't return purely because of the parking. This is old technology which works all over the country except here. I've never heard of the company who operate this and hope I never do again.

Rant over, sorry!
