We stayed here over the children's Easter holidays for 3 nights with our 7 and 5 year old. We had a room with two king beds, which was perfect. No fridge in the room, this was not good for us as we need to keep medicine in the fridge. Check in was very smooth and the lady behind reception gave the children a pack of activities to keep them busy, lovely touch.

The pool area was good, kids loved it. Changing rooms were being cleaned the whole time, they were a little cold. One complaint was the tiles on the pool floor did seem very uneven and loose in parts. The jacuzzi was dirty! I know they are hard to keep clean, but the white plastic areas around the edge and inside were very dirty. There was a sign up saying that the hotel were doing a deep clean in the next few days so I hope this is addressed.

We didn't eat in the hotel but did find a fantastic pub/restaurant down the road, approx a 5 min walk. Turn left coming out of the hotel and walk to crossroads. It's called the Vintage Inns Broughton Inn. It's one of the best meals we have had in long time and reasonably prices with a kids menu.

Overall the staff were very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Would we stay here again, yes.

Room Tip: We had a room with two king beds, ideal if your travelling with children

We stayed here for 3 nights last July and it was just wonderful. The grounds are gorgeous, and the beds are so comfy! The food is a bit expensive, but what do you expect in a hotel. If you want cheap food, go to Gregg's or the petrol station round the corner. Spa and pool brilliant - all in all, 100% recommend it.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

We have just returned from a one night break and had an excellent stay. I messaged the hotel prior to our visit to inform them of the children that would be in the room with us and happened to mention that the reason for the visit was to celebrate our son's 5th birthday. My reply from Lucy (Front Desk Supervisor) informed us that they were going to upgrade us to a suite as it was a special occasion. I thought this was a lovely touch. Lucy was also very helpful answering other questions we had about Blackpool attractions etc.
Our check in was very smooth and informative, our room wasn't quite ready so we popped into the bar, but it wasn't long until we were informed we could go to our suite.
We had suite 300 'Elliot' which is our oldest son's middle name, so that was quite amusing for him.
The suite was very spacious, with the double sofa bed set up in the lounge and double doors leading through to the bedroom. As is usually the case the bed settee felt pretty uncomfortable with not much mattress padding, but I asked reception if we could have an extra duvet to try and pad it a bit. It didn't really make much of a difference, but for one night the boys were ok. The upgrade was a lovely touch, but they would probably have been more comfortable in a standard room with 2 double beds.
We quickly unpacked then went for a swim. Initially the pool was very busy and a little overrun with a group of boys, but once they had gone it was a much nicer. I did think that the chlorine in the water seemed very strong, my eyes were even stinging a little before I entered the pool and were quite red by the time I got out. There were quite a few missing parts of tiles in the pool which did feel a little rough under foot. The changing rooms were excellent and the showers were good.
When we returned to the room after our swim there was a birthday card waiting for our son and a plate with sweets and biscuits on it. Again a lovely touch and our 5yr old was thrilled to bits.
We decided to eat in the lounge bar that night as we didn't really know the local area. We waited quite a long time for the food to come, but when it did it was very good. Children under 6 eat off a children's menu and over 6's eat off the main menu at half price. Our bill was initially wrong as the staff didn't know about the half price children's food, but it was quickly rectified.
Everyone seemed to sleep quite well, although the bed was too soft for my personal preference.
Breakfast was excellent, the hotel seemed very quiet, but there was a full selection of hot and cold items, we all enjoyed what we had.
We managed to see Lucy on reception when we checked out and we bought some Blackpool attraction tickets from her which work out cheaper than buying them when you get there.
I would not hesitate to come back to this hotel if we were to visit Blackpool again, every member of staff we came across was polite and helpful and the extra little touches really helped to make our stay extra special.

As with many other people, I stayed here for one night to break a journey on the M6. I booked an Executive Room, and had a free breakfast included.

The room felt tired and I was glad I had booked an Executive Room, as I think I would have hated a Standard one. The bathroom was fine, but the heating controls were poor and there was no minibar, or vending machine to get drinks.

I ordered room service - a pizza - and it was inedible. It was also not possible to order a can or bottle of coke or Pepsi or sprite, as they only serve draught/fountain drinks from the bar - not very convenient when you also factor in lack of mini bar or vending machine.

Breakfast was very good.

Overall, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the so-so room and the poor in-room dining means I won't be returning.

Stayed for one night with my daughter in law intention was relaxation with a little luxury. Good points.... room spotless very pleasant, hotel very nice. Lovely warm welcome from girls on reception, much appreciated. Marriott burger in lounge bar awesome!! Hotel lent us dressing gown free of charge as my daughter in law forgot hers. Pool almost empty by 7pm and open for use until 11pm, breakfast served until 11 am!! There were no bad points as such but some giggles that were unplanned... All the staff were very pleasant but there was one barman that would have benefited from a few "shickers" himself ! or failing that prozac!! Afternoon tea looks great but must be pre-ordered, and DO NOT park under the trees!! took me 2 hours to remove the OSTRICH poop from all over my NEW beloved Beetle LOL. Lovely hotel and lovely evening but maybe a bit hit and miss if you are looking for peace and quiet as our neighbours RAVED until 3am!! but I may do that myself in the future sounded like they had excellent party! no complaints they were just enjoying themselves laughing etc, not as if they were arguing or making "rude" noises *blush*. really enjoyed it, oh and breakfast was fantastic xxxx Thank you

I recently stayed at this hotel whilst on business. The hotel is very pleasant but what really sets this hotel apart for me was the friendliness of every single member of the team that I encountered. I write reviews only rarely and when you receive excellent customer service it is only fair to say so. These guys were exhibiting more than the usual friendliness of the North! Well done.

I contacted Tarek at the hotel a few weeks in advance of our stay as the reservations were a little complicated. He sorted everything out for us and we were all set to go. Then something came up and we had to re-arrange our dates. I contacted Tarek again and he changed the reservations without any issues. He was always amazingly friendly and patient when dealing with my queries and requests.

When we arrived, we were checked in by the second amazing member of staff at this hotel. We were a little disappointed with our room on the first night and spoke to Christine at reception the following morning. She was the third wonderful staff member we met during our stay and moved us to a fabulous executive room. The rest of our stay was just perfect.

Apart from the staff already mentioned, every staff member we encountered was absolutely first class. Everyone from the omlette chef at breakfast to the waiters in the restaurant and all of the reception staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

The hotel itself is lovely. Some of the rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. The pool and spa area are great with a lovely heated pool, 2 jacuzzis and a sauna and steam room. The restaurant and bar are brilliant and we really appreciated the long breakfast hours. The food in the restaurant is excellent and not too expensive.

We both had full-body massages while we were there. Kerrian did a great job and was again amazingly friendly and helpful. The massage was so relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall, we had a wonderful weekend at the Preston Marriott. It was exactly what we needed and we can't wait for a chance to go back!

Room Tip: The executive rooms are much nicer than the standard rooms so upgrade if you can.
