OK, when you review a hotel like an IBIS you are not thniking about the view, or the standard of the pool (not found a pool yet but I am sure there is an IBIS with a pool somewhere!).
We were stuck for a place to stay at midnight and IBIS came up trumps. Yes, the call went through to the hotel and not to a central booking centre that was no longer open. Yes the person we spoke to to reserve the room was the one who checked us in. Yes we could still get a drink when we got there at 0045. Yes the bed was comfortable and the shower worked fine.
It was £69 for a double room. For the room itself it was maybe a bit much but this was last minute. Staff were friendly. We didnt stay for breakfast (£7.50 pp extra) but its smelt quite good on our way out.. they also do very early breakfasts from about 4.30am which is handy to know.More
