Been there many a time to relax. Not much to do for kids though, unless you being a picnic or something.

I grew up close to Avenham Park so I went back, with my family, to visit one of my childhood haunts. Still a beautifully kept park with the River Ribble running through it.

A hidden gem that I came across whilst trying to find a parking space!
The parking area is paid but the beautiful surroundings is worth the money. It's a free way to spend a hour or two within walking distance of the town centre.
