“Great for younger children”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

We had visited here 2 or 3 times previously when we had stayed at the nearby Gibbon Bridge hotel, but this was the first time that we had taken our 5 year and 5 week old boys.

We have enjoyed all of our visits but with regards to children it is probably best for those roughly 10 or below.
When we had been before it had been during term time and lamb feeding sessions were pretty much ad hoc but in the holidays there were a lot of children (and adults) wanting to feed the lambs and pet the chicks. The staff managed it very well, even accommodating some very late arrivals.
You can also feed llamas and deer which is lovely for children and adults alike, there are tractor-pulled barrel rides, trails a large playground and a nice cafe.

We found the staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and it is a great value place to go for 3-5 hours.

“Great value day out”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

Had a couple of excellent family days out here. Very reasonably priced. Can easily spend a good few hours enjoying the attractions. Tractor rides, chick holding, haystacks, animals, super playground and some great walking trails if you walk to the far end of the main field beyond the animals.
Would highly recommend.

“Great if you have little ones”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 via mobile

Ours are too big. Nice for a leisurely stroll, and the place is a good size if you have pushchairs or under 7s. The animals are cute, and kept well, although the meerkat pen needs a sweep out.

Cafe food is good but gets busy, hard to get a table.

“Never disappoints”
Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

We came here again after missing our visits last year. We where pleasantly surprised of some improvements and new things to do at the attraction. We love the new sculptures on the trail, hopefully the Disney ones will be replaced with something more in fitting with the beautiful area. The new addition to the park area the children loved but I think they should of gone for wooden not plastic as it would fit in better but everyone has a budget! We loved the trails best my son the tractor barrel ride. I noticed the comments on animals poorly kept and cramped I disagree with this I think they came when the weather was poor the animals where all out and in great condition the farm has acres for the cows to roam. Can't wait to revisit

“Fabulous Family Day Out”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

We came here on Easter Monday having visited quite a few years ago. We enjoyed it very much then and were not disappointed on this visit, we had a great time.
The location is gorgeous, beautiful rolling countryside and quirky country lanes to get there. It was very busy being a Bank Holiday, but this was fine and there is plenty of space for everyone. We had a look at the animals and took part in the chick stroking and lamb feeding. All very well done and a lot of fun for the children. Our son loved the hay bales, climbing on these and playing - his highlight of the day.
We did the wild boar walk - interesting and very informative, the girl who led us around was very good and we all enjoyed it.
We took the tractor ride to the top of the hill then walked down through the sculpture trail and past some more animals. Recommend that - you can do a return trip on the tractor, but it is a lovely walk all downhill.
The ice-cream shop is fantastic - great range of flavours and very delicious ice cream.
We watched the meerkat and racoon feedings then strolled beside the river before our son let off steam in the very well equipped playground for about half an hour.
A lovely place, we spent most of the day here - the staff are exceptionally friendly, this is a super family day out and I would highly recommend it.
