We had been meaning to visit BWBP for some time, but only now have got round to it. Very glad we did, this is a little gem hidden away in the beautiful Lancashire countryside. Fortunately, all the signs were pointing the right way for our journey and despite the narrow winding lanes, we found it with no problem. Cost was £4.50 each (2 adults), our 17 month old daughter got free entry. My only negative comment would be the charging of children from age 2.

The park itself is well laid out, there is plenty of parking, ample picnic tables and space, and lots of very friendly animals including pigs, llamas, deer and of course the boars. The chick handling session was great fun, though I think we enjoyed it more than our daughter did!! There are plenty of walks with well laid out paths and a fun "trailer" ride (£1/person) that provides a novel use for those big blue mango chutney containers!

Finally, the small cafe overlook a pond with loads of bird feeders outside the windows.

Overall, a very good place to visit, we will certainly return!

Took the kids to Bowland Wild Boar Park on saturday 17th March 2007.
The first problem was the signposting which some yob had had a hand in by turning a signpost around sending us in the wrong direction.
The park is situated deep in the country in the beautiful Trough of Bowland.
Entry was £9 in total for myself and 2 children.
The kids got to bottle-feed lambs, hold baby chicks and got a tour of the park by the main attraction - Joe!
Joe seems to be the resident farmer type employee, and he is a true character, and great fun.
There are wild boar with piglets, wallabies, cranes, owls, llamas, goats, cows etc.
There is a great outdoor playarea, with cafe and shop.
Despite the awful rain, we spent a great couple fo hours here, and would recommend it without hesitation.
