Description: The Yew Tree offers a great new look and fantastic menu. Now open for breakfast from 9.00am to 11.30am, then the full menu is served all day through till 9pm Monday to Saturday and *pm on Sundays. We are family friendly and have a kids menu, high chairs and baby change facilities. As well as benches to the front of the pub we also have a decked terrace for alfresco dining and relaxing afternoons! We revised our dogs policy in January 2016 and now welcome dogs and their well behaved owners in the top bar area and adjacent carpeted area. Obviously weather permitting they are also welcome on the tables at the front or on the decking area. Water bowls and dog biscuits are available. We hope to see you soon!!

My friend and I have eaten in many places in Preston and this is the best by far. The service is very good and very friendly. If you get chance you should eat here. The Yew Tree is great value for money.

“Hour wait”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

Visited on sat aft as the tables here are always big and there were 7 and 2 high chairs. Managed to find a table and then ordered some drinks. We've not been here for a while as have had some bad times recently. I noticed the 2 staff were running around and the place was unusually busy. Then we were told that there was an hour wait for food. With 4 kids an hour was too long so we had to leave. Getting quite disillusioned with this place now.

Biddy24, we are very sorry to hear about your recent disappointing visit and that you have started to feel disillusioned with The Yew Tree. When we get a large volume of orders into the kitchen in a short space of time there can be a delay in getting your food out as it is all prepared to order. Generally the staff inform customers when ordering to manage your expectations in a worse case scenario, as opposed to fielding complaints for long waits later. It is only on a handful of incidents that we have had to to do this and unfortunately it timed with your last visit. I can assure you that we do all we can to avoid these situations.

“Lovely”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

Lovely food and atmosphere, such a nice comfortable place to chill out and have a bite to eat! Wish there were some more vegetarian options on the main menu though, the cheese pie and veg lasagne are lovely but would be nice to have a bit more choice, like a pasta dish or even a quorn option? Doesn't put us off though! :)

“Breakfast at its best”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

My friend and I have been going for breakfast as a way to catch up recently and he recommended we try the Yew Tree. It was a really pleasant environment and the staff were very polite and friendly. The food took a little extra time to arrive but it was worth it for freshly cooked breakfast and the food was delicious. All in all it was a lovely meal and would absolutely recommend it for breakfast every time.

“Breakfast”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

We had to be up early to drop the motorhome off for a service, missed the alarm and in too much of a rush to get even a coffee. The sign outside the Yew Tree pub, just off the London Way as you head south out of Preston said 'Breakfast'. A lifesaver. Dropped the truck off and dived in. Steaming mugs of coffee, followed by a leisurely Full English (including black pudding) and coffee top-ups set us up for the day. Approx £8 a head and there's veggie options. We'll be back.
