Stayed for one night in a double room for a family wedding. The location and gardens are absolutely beautiful. The hotel has lots of character and each room is decorated differently. Our room was on the front of the hotel with a view over the car park, having said that it is a very pretty car park with gardens beyond. The room was clean with spotless bedding. Decor was a little tired. Ensuite only had a shower not a bath which was no problem to us. The wedding itself was beautiful the room set out really well. The food was excellent and serice very good. Bed very comfy. English Breakfast the next day was really well cooked to order. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would certainly visit again.

Five of us dined in the restaurant on Friday evening and had a really good time. There was a wide selection of starters and main meals with a set menu at a reasonable £13.50 for 3 courses. The waitresses were very helpful and cut then served up our birthday cake which we had brought with us.
We were surprised how few people were dining in the restaurant and I wonder if people are put off by the expensive tag this establishment has. Don't be!

Me and my husband had our wedding at ferraris on 28/6/2014 and we cannot fault it. Suzy was a fantastic help from the moment I arrived the day before till the moment the evning was over. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the rooms (the ones we saw) had such an old school regal flair to them which all our guests loved and the beds are ao comfy, not 1 guest complaines of a bad night sleep!
The food for the wedding breakfast was second to non, there was no scrimping on portion sizes, the food tasted amazing and was served piping hot, considering there was over 40to feed this is no easy feat! 5* all the way, I cant find anything to fault! Oh, the breakfast could have a slightly larger selection, thats the only critism!

We have just returned from a faultless Sunday lunch to celebrate Father's Day. What a beautiful location the hotel is set in, this is only matched by the gorgeous hotel. The welcome and service was outstanding. It was a lovely atmosphere friendly and warm. Our meals were without doubt faultless! the quality was top notch, we had plenty of choice and all five of us enjoyed every mouthful. Everything was served efficiently and piping hot. A three course lunch for £11.50 exceptional value. This must rank as one of the best meals I've had, so well done to this lovely family and staff.

I'm not really sure where to begin.

The gardens are nice.

My favourite part about Ferrari's is the lady who owns it. She has the personality of a verruca, very rude and has poor social skills never mind customer service skills.

Pretty furniture in the rooms, shame they're a bit dirty and the drawers had a nice half chewed busciut in them.

I was with a wedding party. The bar and catering staff were lovely and really hard working, manager seemed lazy, the day went smoothly but no real thanks to Ferrari's who were obstructive at best in helping with arrangements. One room, hadn't been cleaned, they realised this when pulling back the bed sheets and finding dirt at 1.30am after the party. There were leaks in the cottage and in a room in the main house. Cottage has no TV signal and all the rooms (cottage and main house) were freezing because the heat was turned off at the mains.

I could go on...

scrumptious . The gardens are magnificent can't wait to go back

We booked a long weekend there on the recommendation of a friend and before reading some of the recent reviews. Had we read the reviews first we might not have bothered. However, we decided to give it a try and we are so glad that we did. Frankly we do not recognise some of the critical reviews. The setting is very good, the grounds are beautiful, the location great for walking and getting around. From the start the service was friendly and first class, This is not a modern hotel but that is not its boast. The room was absolutely charming, clean and well maintained. We had the benefit of TV (albeit a little old but we were not there to watch TV) It was comfortable, well heated and there was tea making facilities. (There was never a problem with the availability of hot water) The food was first class and frankly we found nothing to complain about. We have stayed in good hotels all around the world and would certainly return to this one. It is a family run business which provides personal hospitality and good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask to see the rooms and make up your own mind. They do specialise in weddings at weekends so a roo...
