This hotel is clean, pleasant, has a good location, only 5 minute walk from town centre. Breakfast was OK on 1st day as a buffet but on 2nd day order service which wasn't as good - some shortage in items, small selection but sufficient. Staff nice & tried to do a good job.

Got the last room in this hotel, after trying every other hotel in the town. Room no. 22 is not recommended, as it is right beside the kitchen extractor fan which creates some racket when on full throttle. Cats would feel comfortable in this room, as they would be safe in the knowledge that they couldn't be swung about the place. They would also feel safe in the shower, as their dislike of water wouldn't be seriously tested, due to the lack of water pressure. Food was average. On the night of our stay, it seemed that the introduction of prohibition was imminent, as their stocks of beverages appeared to be well run down, given the limited range of wines on offer. On the plus side, staff were friendly and doing their best. However, I would not be tempted back.

Room Tip: Avoid room 22

Bit of a mixed bag, I was almost put off by the TA rating on the BW app, but thought I'm practically outside, so lets do it. Having a Diamond reward card, I was upgraded to the Family suite, and what a great "clean on the surface" room it is, nice comfy bed, good size wall mount flat TV, four sockets on the desk, a nice touch, overlooked by so many nowadays. Central ceiling light, making a very bright room. Bathroom was a bit pokey, and when sat on the white seat, it is easy to see where isn't cleaned on a yearly basis. Shower pressure was a bit poor, and overall the bathroom was a let down for the rest of the room. Upon going for an evening meal at 2015, I was told the restaurant was closed, but bar meals were available, this was down to the chef being sick and going home. In the bar I was told, no bar meals, no one can cook them, only sandwiches. Not very good at all, if not a reserve chef, then the other staff should at least be able to rustle up a meal of some sorts, and not just offer a sandwich. A walk into town ensued, something I could have done without. Although the breakfast was adequate, the poached eggs were very vinegared, and the buffet / continental area not very appealing. I would probably stay again and hope that there would be redemption.

Dear Paul,

I am sorry that the service elements of you stay did not exceed your expectations. Your experience in the restaurant was caused by Chef absence at short notice. This had an obvious impact on the usual standards experienced at the hotel. Please contact me when staying in the area again as I would like to offer a goodwill gesture by way of an apology. Thank you for forwarding you feedback.

Room was clean and nice comfy bed. Quiet and nice tv. Lay out a bit of a warren. Breakfast was ok but not outstanding. Nice lunch but medium rare steak was medium well done. Tasted ok though. Ok for business but not for a romantic getaway.in between Warwick and leamington Spa and opposite Warwick College.

Thank you for completing your review. I have passed your comments to the relevant departments who would like to convey their thanks also. Quality checks should be taking place by waiting staff during your meal. I am sorry if this did not take place on this occasion. I do hope that you consider the hotel when staying in the area again. Thank you again for the feedback.

Only stayed one night. Room was tired but clean and not as large as I expected. I am a Best western fan so will always pick those first as normally they are very consistent but this was tired and although the staff were pleasant and wanted to help, things like delivering the paper to the wrong room and showing you to a filthy table for breakfast are small avoidable things that can taint your view on an establishment. definitely not worth the slagging given by others and not worth an excellent
