I went with my 2yr old son at the time to visit a friend. The room was on the ground floor and large with a cot provided so i was very happy with the size, accessibility and lack of clutter etc. The bathroom was nice and the shower was decent.

The evening was difficult getting to sleep due to lack of double glazing and the open pub across the road until 1am!

When I orignally arrived I was disappointed by the tired exterior and everytime I tried to get back into the hotel I was left hanging around
- no one seemed to want to answer the door.

The breakfast was very good, however, even for my two yr old who enjoyed the cereal and the fruit.

totally overpriced, lemington spa or not, I would not stay again and have better value for money elsewhere.

Just to inform you that Lansdowne hotel is under new ownership and management. Since February this year when we took over we have been improving the property inside and out including the bedding and furniture. We also reduced our prices to give value for money, cleanliness is improved %100 and we are doing our best to give the service that is expected of us. Unfortunately the previous owners did not care knowing that they were no longer carrying on with the business so every aspect of the hotel was neglected. We are doing our best and we hope that we get another chance to serve you.

The Landsdowne used to have a reputation as one of the best in town, and indeed had an AA rosette for its restaurant and appeared in the Good Hotel Guide. Alas the restaurant has long gone and the 80s decor looks very dated. There is supposed to be a bar but it never opens.

Any expectations are shattered the moment you check in when you are asked to settle the bill up front. That the rooms are tiny would be fine but for the lack of attention to detail: blown lightbulb, window jammed, TV remote not working and only two channels with a decent picture, no sugar, cheap toiletries.

This would be tolerable if it were about half the price as all it is is a basic B&B. For the same money you can stay in a proper hotel with all the facilities you desire.

Small boarding house style of hotel with very small car park, I had to leave my car on the street. The first impression is of a cluttered overstuffed hallway, this hotel has an enormous amount of bric a brac everywhere.
I had booked a double room for 2 people but the room was so small that the bed occupied most of the available space and we had to move around the room in turn, old flat feather pillows and un-ironed sheets didn't add to the overall comfort The bathroom was equally tiny with the most dreadful 1960's decor and a shower that emitted only the slowest flow of water, hair washing took quite a time!
As our room was adjoining the staircase and every time anyone went past we could hear every word they said and also every stair they trod on. After a sleepless night we went down for breakfast, again nothing to reccomend, unless you like cold coffee and a greasy fry up. I was glad we were only there for one night and I could not recommend this hotel to anyone who is a friend. Not good value at £79.90 per night,
