“A beautiful course in stunning scenery”

Quarry Park Disc Golf

Attraction details
Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: Disc Golf involves throwing specially designed flying discs (like Frisbees)into a metal basket. The long course has 18 holes of approx 90m. The short course has 16 holes of approx 50m. Trees and bushes have been strategically planted to add to the challenge. Beginners are welcome, you can have a great time even if your your score is not so great! If we don't have customers waiting then we will be happy to get out of the shop and give you some pointers on technique. Ground conditions vary across the course and according to season and weather. Trainers are generally fine for the short course in summer; walking boots or wellies are generally a good idea if playing the long course in winter. At present facilities are very basic - a field shelter, an eco-toilet, and a pro-shop in a shipping container.

If you haven't tried Disc Golf yet you're in for a treat. One of the only courses in the UK purpose built. A great day out for the whole family - disc golf is accessible and fun.

We drive down from Manchester to play this course - it's that good. If you're around on a weekend contact Del in advance - he's one of the finest ambassadors for the sport.

“Enjoy doing something different for a couple of hours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

Last summer I was looking on the internet for something different to do with the family whilst off work for a few days and found Quarry Park Disc Golf.
Unfortunately didn't get around to it during that break but I did tell the children that we would visit in 2014.
We visited on an overcast day during the Easter school break and as the website stated that some of the holes could be wet or muddy we dressed appropriately.
We knew what disc golf involved having played it on our games console but as we hadn't played 'properly' before we opted for the short 16 hole course. We were given lessons on how to drive and put the disc before we started.
Good value for money at £5 per person which included the hire of the discs and great fun for all ages in our family of five (including two teenagers and a younger child)
Facilities are very basic having only a golf shop selling discs, snacks and cans / bottles and portable toilet but these were ample for the 2 hours we were there.
Had a great time and the two teenagers are already talking about visiting again and maybe buying their own discs from the shop.

“A great afternoon of fun & laughter for all ages!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014

After visiting friends in Leamington Spa for the first time, they suggested Quarry Park Disc Golf as a place to kill an afternoon. We had never played Disc Golf before so didn't really know what to expect. We had such a great laugh from the first tee. Disc Golf definitey wasn't our calling but that didn't make it any less enjoyable. At just £5 for an adult a game lasted around an hour and a half for us on the short course.
If you're looking for a great afternoon of fun and want to try somewhere different this is worth a go! Rain (with attire you don't mind getting muddy and wet) or shine you need to experience this for yourself.
