We used to go here quite often when we moved to Leamington a couple of years ago. I think it may have been taken over by new management - it used to be quite a cosy place for a nice drink with a decent courtyard area (albeit a bit dirty). Now they seem to insist on playing thumping dance music at all hours of the day and night - the last two times we have considered going there we have actually got as far as opening the door, turned around and gone elsewhere.

If you are in the area go to the Clarendon instead!

This could be a lovely pub, but it's completely ruined by the terrible food and the management's insistence on playing awful dance music at incredible volume, even when the pub is nearly empty. The last couple of times we've visited for a beer or two, spurred on by memories of the Sausage in better times, we've walked in only to turn straight around, walk out the door and go somewhere else instead.

We had dinner here on Good Friday. We wanted to eat in central Leamington at 5.30pm. Most of the other restaurants with high TripAdvisor ratings that we tried didn't serve food until 6 or 6.30pm. This place serves food all day. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I love proper English sausage and mash and this is the place to go. The sausages here are fantastic, served with lovely creamy mash, home made gravy, carrots and cabbage. The main courses were five stars but the desserts were a bit ordinary. We will definitely return

More of a trendy off beat arty place than your usual pub but very welcoming on a freezing wet night. Good menu mostly served on wooden platters by helpful staff. Very enjoyable.

Went here by chance today on our first visit to Leamington...it was great! Fun decor, great staff and really tasty food. Changed the barrel without any fuss unlike other places I've been to and staff made us feel welcome.

Lots of reserved tables so must be popular and after spending a couple of hours there we know why. A great place to go and we'll definitely go back. Makes a refreshing change to have such a nice pub available!
