Easter 07 noisey, half finished, not well managed just a few words to sum it up, we arrived mid day the entrance was locked sign saying enter through TJ's bar, the girl behind the bar sorted us a room at the front as" the windows had just been done so it wont be noisey "( now we know it was a joke!) it was on the main road so we could listen to all and sundry shouting ,revving engines or playing music at ear poping volume , and the trains to the station, but that said the window did'nt stay open unless propped up. then breakfast 7am week days 9am weekends so of down 2 flights of stairs we go to the bar at 9am (sat) the man behind the bar seemed oblivius to us while he smoked his fag and opened the front door to the public then decided to ask if we wanted breakfast (9 05am) we said yes we would like breakfast to this he replyed staff not here yet but breakfast here very good very fast?? we sat at a table in the dark as i think he forgot to turn on the lights we were given what we thought was the breakfast menu and asked if we would like a cooked breakfast by the chef (who had now arrived)there was actually one or the other off the menu . no set table with cutelry ,condiments servetts no juice or cereals to start ,the next day was a little better as it was the girl from the bar the day before but still hit and miss . then monday up at 8oclock as breakfast is from 7am so early start get a full day in before travel ing back 100 miles home not to be bank holiday no breakfast till 9am no one told us this so lets just hand in the keys and go oh no one to be seen reception locked so we have to wait till 9am before anyone comes , handed over keys no reply not even thank you for spending my hard earned cash in there fun house, just as a after thought no fittings to plug in sink the extractor fan in the bathroom didnt work the towel rail was so hot it burned you maybe because it had just been refurbished?????
