We ate here the night before our daughter's graduation from Warwick University - a busy time for most good restaurants in Leamington. Wildes is a long-standing, cellar-type restaurant/bistro/ wine bar with an attractive menu and wine list. We booked for 8:15 but service was very slow and the waiting staff explained that they needed to take the order for another large party first as the kitchen would not be able to cope otherwise. It was a full hour before our order was taken, although they did suggest we had some bread and olives in the meantime and the situation was explained to us and updated at all times. The food we had was excellent - the scallop starter, the seabass and the steak particularly recommended. A good place to come for an atmospheric meal - as long as they are not too busy!
