We got upgraded to a suite and it was absolutely lush with a huge bathroom and a little living room area where we sat and watched TV. Got early check in and had a lovely few hours swimming and relaxing in the hot tubs and steam room. Veggie breakfast was lovely!

Very nice hotel staff very helpful do anything to make stay good. Leisure facilities perfect to relax after a drive. Would be useful to have a lift when traveling with elderly who find it difficult walking up stairs

I am glad to read that in the main you had an enjoyable time with us and that the staff made such a positive impression on you. With regards to the lack of a lift, almost 50% of the bedrooms at the hotel are located on the ground floor and we are always happy to allocate these in advance up on request, so please if you are planning to stay with us again and a ground floor room is required simply contact the hotel directly and we will happily arrange this for you.

Absolutely appalling service. Tried to book an early check-in so that the bride and bridesmaids could get changed. Willing to pay for 1pm check-in. Met with complete refusal and total rudeness from the staff. So unhelpful. Regret recommending this hotel to our guests. Awful service. Will never ever recommend again.

Firstly please accept my apologies that you have received such an unusual level of service from the team on reception.
Although I understand you were willing to pay for the early check in this is not always possible especially at busy periods as we can only offer this for a limited number of rooms so that we can ensure all our rooms are ready by the 3.00pm check in time.
This does not change the fat that this should have been explained to you in a polite and courteous manner and I have therefore discussed this with the Reception Manager and asked that the entire team is aware of how these types of situations should be handled.

Stayed one night, leisure facilities very good, nice comfortable bed, evening meal excellent, staff polite and professional, very clean and cared for.

We love coming here as a couple for a night away. The bedrooms are beautiful and clean, with everything you would need. The pool/sauna/hot tubs etc are lovely, and have been quiet on the weekends we have visited.
The restaurant is great for dinner and breakfast, with a good atmosphere.
