I stayed here for 2 days and found everything to be fine except at breakfast the sausages were burnt and the black pudding crispy.
The staff were second to none always friendly and helpful,the hotel is spotless and would recommend this to everyone
Just let down by the breakfast

Beautiful hotel, where nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Not cheap, but you get good value for money and worth every penny. Have stayed twice and would love to return. Great location for any Lancaster University business or for dropping off students at the beginning of freshers.

We have stayed at Lancaster House on numerous occasions and we always receive a warm welcome, rooms are always clean and well equipped, meals in the bar and restaurant are always good and it is a handy base for visiting Lancaster and the Lakes without having to drive too far.

Stayed for one night, good parking and prompt check in. Bar and restaurant in the evening all ok and staff friendly and attentive. The only downside was the room which was in need of a make over , the bathroom which smelt damp again needed to be updated. No separate shower but a shower bath with a moldy and dirty shower curtain, probably explains the damp smell as shower curtains always leak. Will not be returning.

I am genuinely sorry that you encountered the issue with the shower curtain, this is certainly not our normal standard and I have asked housekeeping to ensure the procedures for ensuring this does not happen again are checked and updated as required. It is unfortunate that you did not raise this at the time as we would have happily either moved you to an alternative room or simply replaced the shower curtain with a new one.
