The hotel on first sight is not particularly attractive as the surrounding area is quite industrial and the hotel itself is rather prefabricated looking. However the upside is that just across the road is the Doncaster outlet shopping centre. It is also only a short drive to the town centre, the racecourse and The Dome leisure centre. Also across the road is a Beefeater restaurant which has a wider choice of food and drink than The Park. The rooms are spacious and clean with all that you need - coffee/tea making facilities, hairdryer, soap dispenser, TV etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast costs £8.95 and has quite a wide variety of continental and cooked breakfast options. We stayed on a Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning was particularly busy with a large group of people, some of whom were noisy in the corridor at night which disturbed sleep. The breakfast area in the morning was over full and staff had difficulty keeping the breakfast replenished and the tables cleared. However, we did have a good breakfast marred a little by the fact that the coffee machine was not working. We were offered coffee via another machine by staff but this was not offered to everyone. To summarise, this is quite a good hotel, in a convenient position, which is very good value for money.
