Outstanding breakfast

The Regent like many small independent hotels is looking a little tired after Covid but despite this it’s definitely worth look at.

The friendly staff and superb breakfast more than made up for the tired feel of parts of the hotel.

It must be said my room was clean and very well appointed, I had a fridge and a microwave as well as the usual kettle.

The highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast, I had the “Yorkshire Grill” an excellent full English, served in the lovely breakfast room.

Well what can we say, we got married here on Saturday and the whole experience from start to finish was absolutely amazing. The planning before the big day and the day itself.
Simon and all the staff are so great, nothing was too much trouble. The day ran so smoothly.
We would highly recommend The Regent hotel

We called in for lunch, not as a hotel resident, and had a very enjoyable experience.

A very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived and shown to our table.

There was a good range of bar food available on the menu but on the other side of the menu it was Thai food.

This was just too tempting, so we decided to go Thai! The chef came out to see us and to check just how we wanted our food cooked as far as spices were concerned.

Everything was fresh and cooked just right for all.

Highly recommended both for the food and friendly welcome.

An excellent restaurant.

Came for a gallery exhibition. Hotel staff was very friendly, room was clean, but was a very noisy place, bands and bars late into the night and then just my luck, some guy across the hall was playing a recorder while watching tv church at 8am on a Sunday morning. Not really the hotels fault. Definitely will never forget this stay though. Yay Doncaster

Room tip: Bring earplugs 😂

Had a pleasant stay. Was lucky to be upgraded as our room was not ready. Room very large with a good view. Shower good temperature and pressure. A bit dated and housekeeping not 100% but everything correct upon asking. Staff very good. Breakfast good. Very good value for money in very centre of Doncaster

Staff at hotel extremely friendly and polite, unfortunately room very disappointing..

Executive room booked, was sure we should have hsd a park view but we didn't. We booked 2 doubexec rooms but both almost the same...

Dirty chair - see pic
Dirt on outside if shower - sink and toilet clean but pic below of outside shower.
Kettle completely limed up - see pic

On the plus side bed clean and comfortable!

Room tip: If you just want location and clean bed it's ok but dont book exec rooms, waste of money
