“First visit to this great place - need to go back with more time”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Met some friends here, had a cuppa and a stroll. Kids enjoyed the play area.Would have liked more time to explore more. It's quite steep going down to the lake, fine if you are young and/or fit but could be taxing if you're not or in a wheelchair, etc.
Lovely place, will definitely go back again.

“An enjoyable few hours with the family!”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

We have just returned from a lovely afternoon at Cusworth Hall - we took a picnic and had plenty of places to choose from to sit and eat it. Had a lovely stroll through the grounds and then went inside to have a look around. All the staff that we met were very friendly and informative and the best thing was that it was all free, except for parking but at only £2.20 for 3hrs even this was good value. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent location for a civil ceremony and photographs. We had a violinist as one of the extras and it provided a fantastic atmosphere.

“Fab day out for the family.”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

We have just come back from a morning out at Cusworth Hall and really enjoyed it. There is a little bit of something for everyone. One of the most impressive things was that it was free. The only charge was for parking, which was very reasonable. The charge is £6 if you want to stay all day, but we only stayed for 3 hours which was about £2.20. Other reviews have complained about the astronomical parking fees (not true) and how it's unfair that you still have to pay if you only want to go around the park which I think are unfair. I don't know of anywhere else of this quality that is free.
There is the house to look around, a play area for the children, lakes to walk around and a shrubbery walk for the mums. Dogs are welcome and the coffee shop is delicious.
A family with children could quite happily take a picnic and a football and while away the hours for next to nothing.
We will definitely go back.

“Fantastic house with free entry & great tearooms!!”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

We visited this beautiful house for a couple of hours and had a lovely time. Carparking was very reasonable at £1.50 & free entry to the house was fantastic. There were a variety of well presented and interesting displays about the house, the local area and life in the past. The whole house was accessible for buggies / wheelchairs by lift & staff were very friendly. There is a great tea room with a mouth watering selection of home cooked lunches, quiches & sandwiches, I had an enormous ploughman's lunch for only £5.25.To follow they had a wide range of yummy cakes and scones. Who could ask for anything more from a half day out!
