Sandall Park has been updated with something for everybody, the children's play areas are well kept as are the walking areas around the lake. Plenty of grassed areas provide for ball games, picnic and general family activities. A small café provide food and drink for those who do not bring their own.

It`s nice being a grandmother and taking the children out without costing anything! We had a lovely sunny day last week so we spent the afternoon in the park. There is a lovely lake to walk around, good path`s easy to push the pushchair, and would be equally as good for a wheelchair or scooter.... There are two childrens play areas, which my 3 & 4yrs old loved. Lots of well kept grass areas, but can get a bit muddy around the lake where the water fowl are... If you do`nt take a picnic, there is a fab little `greasy spoon` cafe that does a wide choice of meals and sandwiches, the children love their sausage mash and veg and gravy! lovely venue for a fine day.

large area, has sections for football, dog walking, also through the summer they have fairs and bouncy castles there through the school holidays. has a reasonable park although not always clean and safe for younger children , has a large boating lake that you can walk around but no longer enter, can also feed the ducks or go fishing and perfect place for a picnic with a smaller park for younger children at the far side with the parking area. right across from kfc, lidle and home barging and bus services run past every so often.

We had passed the place many a time and kept saying next time we have the g/kids we will do it.
So we did.
What a great place and mini adventure land for young kids.
With lots of climbing/adventure activities at the car park side, then stroll around the lake with it's array of wildfowl and other native birds. Upto the top end for the swings and other adventure activities.
We had spent over half a day there, the g/kids loved it so much with the adjoining cafe where kids eat for free.
So much fun for us and them and basically for the cost of an icecream!!
Please take your kids, they will love it and please watch/supervise them around the lake.
