I walked past this pub numerous times before I read a review about real ales, and decided to give it a try.
It's a friendly two room pub with a tap room and lounge.
No food. No juke box.
Usually two real ales. Acorn Barnsley Bitter is the regular well kept ales.
The bar staff and customers are friendly.
Not usually frequented by younger people, it's a real quiet drinkers haven.
It's also listed in the CAMRA book of heritage interiors.
