“Slightly dated, but very clean & good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2012

Stayed at this holiday inn last week, really easy to find off the A1 (M).

At first it looked like the Crossroads Motel from the hit TV Show, the bedrooms where slightly dated but large, clean & very comfortable.

The bar is very good with a great selection of drinks at a reasonable prices.

The gym & pool area was one of the best I have seen in the holiday inn chain.

Nice friendly staff & a very clean hotel, would stay again.

The visit was by thirty professional/business people. We were greeted personally by Mr Dibb the hotel Manager. Our meal was very well presented and the staff particularly helpful.
The modern hotel has the much older Warmsworth Hall (listed building) within the grounds and this comprises several stylish period rooms that are ideal for conferences and weddings.
The whole visit was totally enjoyed by all those attending the visit.

The hotel is a good standard but not outstanding. The staff here were incredibly helpful, we had booked a room with the plan of using a little inflatable bed for our 5 year old but forgot it. The staff brought a rollaway bed with no problem at all. They moved us to be nearer to the other people we were travelling with and generally were polite and helpful at all times. Everyone took the time to chat from the restaurant staff to the pool staff, thank you for a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is extremely well maintained and rooms are of a high standard. All of the staff are very helpful and go about their business very professionally. Probably one of the best Holiday Inn's that I've stayed in within the UK (and I've stayed at lots!).
Very good value for money and easily accessible from the M1.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the main road (not a problem, but preferable). Check your internet...

room was very good but struggled up the stairs with suitcase, should have requested ground floor. found the bar food a bit expensive for the quality of food. overall good experience and the staff in the pool and gym area were very helpfull and friendly.,could do with a facility for drying clothes after using gym and pool.

Room Tip: no lift so beware if youve luggage to carry

The rooms are tiny, my prawn cocktail had brown Lettuce , my fish n chips were over cooked, the frozen fish was deep fried and was banana shaped, no fish left just batter. the shower didnt work properly as the water poured in the bath at the same time as you showered, worst of all no toilet paper, wont be back

Room Tip: dont arrange a cat swinging party, you couldnt swing a cat in the rooms

I recently stayed overnight in this hotel to support my client's wedding preparations. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a wonderful venue for weddings both within the main hotel building and the beautiful Warmsworth Hall which is definitely a hidden gem. Warmsworth Hall is a lovely building filled with character and supported by a wonderful professional staff team. The team manager was especially helpful and accommodating of my wedding clients' wishes and needs and helped to make their day very special. He is also very knowledgeable about the history of Warmsworth Hall and offered guests the opportunity to have a guided tour.

The venue also has an inhouse DJ who helped to round the day off just perfectly!

The location of the hotel, just off jct 36 of the A1 makes it easy to access from North and South and with plenty of parking and guest rooms, it makes a great wedding or conference venue.
