Stayed here for 1 night in October. Lovely clean rooms with plenty of free parking next to the pub. Although the pub is an old building the rooms are in a new block adjacent to the hotel and offer all mod cons. Free wifi, tea, coffee, flat screen tv - everything you would expect from a boutique hotel. Friendly helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant on quite a busy Monday night, they do offer specials most nights but we chose from the usual menu and went for the much mentioned steak pie and fish and chips. Good portions my steak pie was fine but by partner thought the fish was nothing special at the price we paid for it. However the breakfast the next day was exceptional, wonderful selection and the cooked breakfast was fresh. Would recommend this little hideaway and also would stay again but would probably try the specials menu which looked to be very good value.

We stumbled upon this place purely by accident about 18 months ago and have been big fans ever since! The food is always to an extremely high quality and absolutely delicious. The place has a brilliantly warm atmosphere and the staff are extremely attentive and charming. I would and do recommend this little gem to anyone looking for fantastic home cooked food and a friendly atmosphere. If you can find fault in this place, then I Would advise not to leave home. We have been known to eat here several times in one week- we love it!

We meet here as it was half way for m family to travel to. Very nice pub the food was nice but nothing fantastic but the service was very slow. We sat outside and was told someone would come for our order, but I had to go and get someone the table service was similar we were looking to catch someone's attention. It was a shame if the service had been better I would totally recommend it, the place wasn't even full

Thank you for a great weekend break the welcome when we arrived was very friendly. The rooms have everything you need tea coffee ,water ,and a nice comfy bed and top quality bedding not forgetting the soft soft soft towels.
The restaurant has a good range on the menu my burger was very nice. The restaurant staff at dinner and breakfast were always smiling which is good to see that they are happy in their work.
This accommodation is well placed for touring the high peaks and Reg one of the locals can advise you the best roads to ride of Drive.

Room Tip: None just book it it is a great place to stay we will be back.

After initial concerns about staying in Doncaster, especially after driving through it to avoid an A1 jam, we found Misson a village about 10 miles away. The original building has been extended with modern additions and rooms are in a separate block across the car park. Our room was modern, well fitted out and with a large wet room.
We both ate an excellent steak with well cooked vegetables and my wife managed most of a fine sticky toffee pudding; I was allowed a taste. Despite being full on a Friday evening, service was friendly and not slow. Breakfast was cooked to order with fruit and cereals.
The Blonde Bombshell behind the bar went down well; I had two pints of this summer ale.
