We noticed the extensive menu on our walk from Dovers Hill back into town and returned for supper. Our hostess at The Chance B&B mentioned it had a very good reputation and a good value. We were not disappointed! The service was great and the food was superb, as good or better than the Punjab Restaurant in Covent Garden and moderately priced. A real surprise in the Cotswolds!

This restaurant located at the volunteer inn provides good quality food. Best of all was the real ale you could have with your curry since it is part of the pub.

We waited over an hour to receive under cooked chicken. The excuse was that there had beeen an excessive number of take aways. We were palmed off with the offer of extra drinks bu all we wanted to do was have a simple meal

My wife and I ate at The Maharajah on a recent weekend break in Chipping Campden. Very different to find an indian restaurant in such a setting - at the back of a traditional English Pub - but easy access to proper beer was a welcome addition to normal indian fare.
Overall this was the best curry I've ever eaten - flavours were well-balanced and very fresh with liberal, well-balanced use of fresh herbs and spring onions as garnishes and outstanding naan breads. The menu featured some old favourites and also a good range of dishes that were different from the standard offerings. The 'Spicy Lamb' starter is heartily recommended

We had dinner at the Maharaja Restaurant which is located in the Volunteer Inn prior to beginning the Cotswold Way long distance walk. We both ordered the Coriander Curry as recommended by the server and found it to be some of the best curry we have had. The plain Naan bread was also very good, large quantity.
