“Small but friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

It's not a very big museum but the staff were very friendly and helpful and we spent quite a bit of time there. The exhibits are well planned and there are some fascinating videos that show you how items such as a hand-printed book or a decorative silver goblet are made.

“Bit pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

Part of the display was free but the rest was over £4 just to look at a relatively small display. Unless you're particularly interested in this topic, I wouldn't waste your money.

“It was neat and the price is right for the size”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

I would not put this at the top of my list while visiting Chipping Campden. But, it's interesting... and if you don't know anything about the Arts and Crafts movement there, it's an easy way to get a crash course. Nice folks running the place. Don't need to much time to go through it. If you want to find some locally made arts and crafts, they have a small selection. The best part was the restored building and grounds next door (church, etc)

“Arts and Craft Centre”

Brilliant place to shop for local artists goods - we brought a gorgeous glass pendant for a gift for a frien and it was a noe - off at a reasonable price.

“Too limited to be worthwhile”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

A well-restored building and pleasant staff simply don't make up for the basic flaw of this museum - it doesn't have enough of interest to make a trip worthwhile. They have tried to make up for the lack of exhibits by interactive screens but anybody interested in Arts & Crafts would be very disappointed by the absence, for example, of items of furniture - they can still be obtained and not at stratospheric prices. The reception lady tried to suggest that at £4 a head it was very good value because in the second small room there was an exhibition of jewellery but this could be scoped in less than five minutes. Anybody wanting to know more about the movement would be better putting their entrance money towards buying a book which would be much more informative. Shame really as they have tried so hard.
