“Quaint location”
Reviewed 30 March 2011

We enjoyed our recent stay at The Noel Arms. We had booked a very good deal which included bed, breakfast & dinner with a bottle of wine. Dinner was home cooked style and the breakfast was good quality, if a little small. Our room was
comfortable, in the back of the hotel, with some limited countryside views. Mattress on bed felt a little lumpy athough it was of good size and the pillows were only middle range quality. As previously mentioned in a review we could also
hear next door guests through the walls, which was a little annoying! Not much selection on the 'Tea' tray in the room either. No biscuits!!! Chipping Camden and the surrounding area are lovely. Pretty countryside and villages to stop off at. We had glorious sunny weather which was ideal for driving around in a classic car with the hood down!

We booked a last minute stay here and I'm glad we did. Very friendly and helpful staff, we were offered a four poster upgrade when we arrived, but decided on a quiet room instead (room 15). Chipping Campden was very pleasant with a choice of restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. Our room was fine, clean with a very comfortable bed. Good value for £90 a night. Breakfast was very good and the hotel passed the quality sausage test, also had real orange juice too (freshly squeezed) . The hotel has a coffee shop within the reception area, so you can order a cappacino or latte with breakfast, which makes a pleasant change. Free wi-fi, however TV was restricted to 4 channels. The bar area had a small pub feel and there's a conservatory downstairs that would be really good in summer and a small patio area. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the menu looked good. We had an Indian meal in the Mararaja down the road that was okay, but a bit salty. This hotel made a pleasant change from the 'chain' hotels I normally stay in for business and we'll come again. 8/10

Just returned from a stay at the Noel Arms, it was a good deal booked through Travelzoo which included a restricted choice 2 course evening meal and bottle of wine which was very enjoyable, we received a room upgrade too. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was plentiful with a good choice too, the central location, bar, coffee shop with good choice of cakes, restaurant, pleasant seating areas cosy bedrooms, plenty of hot water make this a really good choice of a place to stay. We will gladly return to this friendly hotel again.

The hotel is good enough for a short stay. There were just some oddities about the hotel. The lobby, breakfast, and pub had modern decor and were comfortable. The room is felt like 1980's English country in desperate need of updating and the bathroom has been modernized but felt lacking. Honestly it felt like two different hotels: lobby vs. room. Internet is offered only in the lobby.

We have just enjoyed two nights at The Noel Arms and found our room - 28, delightful. There was a little noise briefly on Saturday morning as bins were wheeled past, but this did not detract. The ambience and decor of the Hotel was excellent and the breakfast’s were great. Not a huge plateful, but everything very tasty and of a high quality. We spent Sunday morning at the Spa, opposite, which was a perfect way to pass a wet morning. Good value too. The only gripe was that we ate in the Hotel restaurant on Saturday night and, whilst my steak was very good, my partners duck was inedible. Tough and fatty. When the waitress asked us if everything was okay, rather than give the usual English response of ‘yes’ we confirmed most of the meal was good, but the duck inedible. Her reply of ‘Oh’ was not quite what we were after. Likewise at reception the following morning when we checked out. “Oh’ again was the response. Maybe something along the lines of “I’m very sorry to hear that, please accept this £10 voucher to use in the Spa” would have made us want to visit again.

stayed for 3 nights b and b. Excellent value. Room spacious, adequate wardrobe/draw space. Decor fine. Clean bathroom, plenty of hot water, (a good long hot soak after a days rambling is always a high prioty on my list! ). Room cleaned and restocked each day. Staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast choice and quality excellent, plus service good too. Location fine and enjoyed some brilliant rambles around the surrounding area. Menu for evening meals fine but we preferred to head out to the Red Lion for supper.
Car parking is the only slight draw back, as the hotel is obviously very popular for meals with non residents.

Having read all the reviews before our visit,we were more than happy to book for our over night stay.We were not disappointed the hotel was great ,the staff were very nice, the location is beautiful, our room was very well equipped and the food in the restaurant was lovely..Just two pieces of advice i can give to the hotel ,1) Our room(room9) could have done with a pull down blind on the bathroom window to save drawing the curtains each time.2) As mentioned in an earlier review, the entrance to the car park needs levelling out ,there is a big dip in the road before you enter the archway through into the car park.this will cause serious damage to any low fronted car(e.g. sports cars etc.) However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..Thank you
