4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2014

Good weekend, here for the bite festival, a lovely hotel with friendly staff, a good size room ( room 1, superior room). Comfortable bed, good shower over bath. Lovely choice of food for breakfast, which was nicely presented and of good quality and tasted delicious. Hotel just a little pricey.

Dear alison m,

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the BITE weekend, a great one with a range of events in Chipping Campden and surrounding Cotswold towns and villages.

Strange that we are a little pricey, as our prices across the board are very competitive in comparison to other hotels in the area and The Cotswold's in general. Our room rates were lower than most that weekend. We are also consistently told that our products and services, from the coffee shop to the rooms are reasonably priced. We do have a few premium products amongst a well balanced selection.

Thank you for your comments regarding our service, food and comfortable bed and we do hope you return to sample them all again.

regards

Andrew & Team Noel

We stayed at the Noel while visiting friends in nearby broadway.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and professional receptionist and this was the tone for the whole weekend.
Great rooms at a good price and the whole hotel is a warm and friendly environment.
Dinner was fantastic and the black lamb curry is as good as it gets.
Highly recommend anybody to stay at this hotel.

Dear Funinabun

Thank you for a lovely review. How pleased we are to hear that our reception team set a great tone for your stay. Again the black lamb wins a guest over, it really is as good as they say.

Thank you for mentioning how warm and friendly our hotel is and for the recommendation. Hopefully we will see you again when visiting Broadway.

Regards

Andrew & Team Noel.

Popped in here on a whim for lunch with my Nan & Uncle as they had just had a long drive up here. The hotel looks nice and quaint from the outside but when you enter you are completely suprised with how light & spacious it is, beautifully decorated, lots of lovely log fires & the food was superb. Staff were very lovely. My nan was so impressed with the Hotel she is planning to stay there next time she visits!

Dear SNewman2013

Thank you for your review. Being in the centre of the high street it is quite easy to pop in, and it is quite deceptive from the outside. We are happy you liked what you found when you entered, and even happier your Nan is planning to stay when she returns.

Please give us a call direct when your nan does as we offer the best rates direct.

Thank you again for you lovely review.

We had a very enjoyable weekend break. We found the staff very welcoming, helpful and professional at all times. We appreciated the efforts of the restaurant in accommodating our vegetarian diet, and the food was excellent! Our room had lots of character, nice and warm and comfortable. Definitely recommend and would visit again.

Dear Andrew H,

Thank you for your review. It is great to know that you felt the team were welcoming and professional.

We want to accommodate any dietary requirements that our guests may have as we understand not all guests tastes, tolerances and preferences are the same. We can and do adapt our dishes to suit whether it be gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and more, and the Kitchen team are always happy to make something with the ingredients they have should these not suffice.

Wonderful news that your time with us was relaxing and thank you for the recommendation.

Regards

Andrew & Team Noel.

We had a lovely weekend stay here. The receptionist was extremely helpful, and all the staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely feel to this cosy hotel. Ate in the conservatory on the first night and the curry was amazing! All food was beautifully presented. The only negative was the creaky floorboards which were quaint at the beginning of our stay but you could hear everybody walking by in the corridor, so a lie in wasn't possible! Very large and clean room. Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

Dear shandy28

Thank you for your comments. we are pleased you enjoyed your stay.

Being a former coaching Inn from the 16th Century you are right, the floor boards will be a little creaky in areas, some areas can be rectified which we have done our best to and at others it just cant be. Sorry if you didn't get to lie in as long as you wanted to. Great to know that you will recommend us and would return in future.

Thank you and kind regards

Andrew & team Noel

Very large rambling building, and getting to our room (number 23) from the reception desk involves going up and down stairs and through quite a maze of corridors or alternatively a short walk outside and in via the back door.

Room well appointed, and bathroom particularly fine with a strong and effective shower (mains, not instant electric). Radiators and heating generally efficient.

Breakfasts were very good indeed. Crispy bacon produced to order and the Gloucester Old Spot sausages were just great! Waiting staff were attentive, quick and friendly.

We also had one evening meal here. It was well presented and the portions were ample. Personally I would have liked a rather wider choice on the wine list - a rather unadventurous and uninspired selection, although reasonably priced. Maybe something like a nice Amarone, or perhaps one of the new and wonderful Argentinian wines that are going around now? Alfa Crux or perhaps Dante Robino Bonara. Just a suggestion.

Excellent location in the middle of Chipping Campden, and also a good car park to the rear of the hotel. Car parking in Ch Campden can be a bit of a nightmare.

Dear Intrepidity060

Thank you for your review. Our breakfasts are great, in fact we were nominated for a best breakfast award just recently!

We have taken to referring to our corridors as a 'rabbit warren'. It is quite deceptive looking from the outside in but adds to its character we think. Glad you enjoyed your room.

The food produced by our kitchen team is great and we like to think we have wines that compliment our menus whilst being reasonably priced, but being perfectly quaffable with good company at the same time. Thank you for your recommendations and we will definitely look into a nice Amarone as well as the others when looking at the new seasons wine list.

Thank you again for your comments and we do hope to see you return.

Regards

Andrew & team Noel.
