The Kings Hotel Chipping Campden

We stayed for two nights and really loved it. We had a wonderful room in the cottage annexe. It was very large, well decorated and quiet. An extremely comfortable bed made the visit perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and couldn't fault the food or the service. I only had the continental breakfasts on both mornings, which was excellent.

We were very pleased with our stay at The Kings. Lovely decor and beautifully equipped plus a good deal on Laterooms which included a superb breakfast.

It was good to be able to walk around the quaint town and we ate in the bar - good food, lovely atmosphere and it didn't break the bank.

Breakfast was a relaxed affair with a good choice and served in a beautifully characterful room which is their restaurant in the evenings.

We would certainly stay again when next in that area of the Cotswolds and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking ofr stylish character at a reasonable price.

This was our second stay although we have had lunch in the bar on a few occasions with family. We requested a room change which was accommodated without question. The new room was bright and airy overlooking the square. Fresh coffee was a nice touch.
The new bar area is very welcoming for a drink before dinner. The restaurant is cosy, warm and atmospheric. The menu is excellent value for money, with the food well presented. Tables are not too close together and the staff attentive and service excellent.
We like this hotel very much, it is warm and welcoming and we will visit again. I would highly recommend for a good value short break.

We stayed at The Kings for just one night but wish it had been longer, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was very good and it was an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds we would definitely stay here again.

Just returned from a 2-night Easter break at this hotel, which we booked as a special offer through Travelzoo. From the moment we arrived, we were spoilt rotten : the hotel is beautifully decorated and maintained, and spotlessly clean. We really cannot fault anything- our lovely cottage room with the enormous bathroom, the superb evening meal, the huge breakfasts, the afternoon tea.....but above all, the friendly and attentive staff. We were made to feel very welcome, and that they genuinely wanted us to enjoy every moment of our stay, which we did.One especially nice touch was the Easter eggs left outside our bedroom on Sunday morning- a thoughtful gesture that sums up this very special place.Highly recommended!

My husband and i have just returned from a 2night stay at The Kings it was a Ruby Wedding gift we had a bargain break with Travelzoo ,could not fault any of it .The staff are so nice and friendly hotel is very clean,we stayed in the Broadway one of the cottage rooms it gave me the wow factor and the bed so comfy, breakfast very nice cold buffet and hot cooked to order evening meal lovely, service excellent ,and believe me I'm fussy on both quality and service. The hotel was full and we did not hear one mobile go off at either breakfast or dinner in-fact both where quiet and pleasant, the weather was lovely and we sat in the garden near the cottages very quiet and peaceful .We came away with the feeling that we had been treated very well by the staff and only wished we could have stayed longer so we where very happy we chose The Kings Hotel

We chose the Kings due to its connection to Mallory Court - big mistake.
Kings Hotel is not for relaxing so don't go if you are looking for peace & quiet.
Breakfast, which really should be a peaceful time was wrecked by a cacophony of mobile phone conversations, computer activity, texting & tweeting - we seemed each morning to be surrounded by them and then they moved to the bar/lounge for the rest of the day. There are no quiet lounge seating areas in this hotel so if you want a little peace it’s back to your room (& that was not brilliant either!)
Food overpriced & very average - we have been back to Chipping Campden since 'the Kings experience' but not to the Kings nor ever again
