We ate there last Saturday night, the menu is Italian geared for sharing, you can have your own plate of food but it's much more fun to get a few different things to share, no it isn't tapas!! We shared a few dishes but the antipasto della casa, was just lovely. A mixture of cold meats, cheese and vegetables came on a platter beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, helpful and confident if you need help to choose what to eat and drink. I've got to mention the colour of the menu with matching serviettes, the serviettes are thrown away but the waiter told me they can be washed up to six times, guess whose got two serviettes in their suitcase!! Huxleys is a lovely place to spend time eating and drinking. The colour of the menus, make a reservation and find out!!

Trying to find anywhere to eat on a Monday is impossible as most places are closed.
It being our 30th wedding anniversary we popped to chipping for a quick walk & light lunch after a weekend of eating!
This place is simply amazing! Beautiful courtyard & even though it was raining we sat outside under massive brollies.
The menu is small & bijou !
They use the best quality ingredients .With my earl grey came the most amazing biscuits , on enquiring they kindly sold me some- very cheaply.
The cakes looked amazing & the ladies has the most amazing sink.
Perfect light lunch.

I was a fan of a nearby restaurant closeby which has recently changed hands and so decided to try Huxleys. It was a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside on the terrace. Service was friendly and really good and the light lunch that we had outstanding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Chipping Campden, a lovely experience.

A good walk around Chipping Campden. A look at the Ernest 'Chinese' Wilson's Memorial Garden - do not miss it and then for some light lunch at Huxleys. In truth Huxleys only does light lunches. It is an intimate cafe and bar in a five hundred year old building and that is its charm. They have concentrated their efforts upon a relatively small menu and a good wine list in very pleasant surroundings and the establishment is all the better for that

My wife and I decided to eat in the small but very secluded garden. Good service and subdued music under a sunny blue sky. It felt as if we were in the Mediterranean although clearly the tide was out! It set the theme.

We began with olives, some bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was good. We then decided to share Antipasto Di Carni e Pesce Affumicate (A selection of locally smoked meat and fish). This proved to be smoked chicken, smoked salmon, salad, bread and a oil and balsamic dressing. It ws very good indeed. This was washed down with a bottle of Primitivo and a couple of coffee's.

It all came to £46 which seemed to me to be very good value. Go again - try and stop me!

Tasty bacon sandwiches, but they need to up their cocktail making. We make better at home.
Great place to stop though, with a secluded outdoor area.
Good service.
