Since our last visit , the brasserie has had some changes , the hotel's main restaurant is closed and the food and style of Hicks has been upgraded . The room is the same but with tablecloths and better tableware in the evenings , it does lack a bit of atmosphere though , but sure that at weekends it is busy. The new chef has really improved the menu , interesting and tasty food , beautiful presentation , every dish was a success ! The service was good but could be a little sharper , some staff are excellent , some look like they can't wait for the shift to end . The prices , like everything , have gone up a bit and there is no early diner option but the food is worth it , if not cheap. We have been eating there for 10 years and this is maybe the best it has been ! Worth a visit , but no bargain !! S
