The Chance
Reviewed 16 June 2011

We found that our time at The Chance B&B was made even more enjoyable by the host Sally. It is obvious from the first contact onwards that Sally's first priority is her guests and their happiness. The B&B itself is located quite close to the centre of Chipping Camden and within easy driving distance of the general Cotswold's area. We thought the B&B was great value for money and Sally makes a superb breakfst which keeps you going for hours. The room has everything you could think of including great tea/coffee, fluffy robes,tv, writing desk etc.
We loved: the location, the view from our room, the breakfasts, the offstreet parking and of course Sally who is the perfect host.
The downsides (which aren't really when you consider the price) are a small ensuite and cosy but compact rooms. If your purpose is to explore the Cotswolds and enjoy the area the room size shouldn't be a concern but if you are looking for a getaway and plan to spend it in your room The Chance may not be for you.

Sally and Paul have created a cozy welcoming B&B. My husband and I spent 2 nights at The Chance and our room was both comfortable and charming. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The large breakfast room is very inviting and the breakfasts were great, with many choices. Sally had emailed me some very useful information about Chipping Campden when I made the reservation. She is very knowledgeable and helped us with restaurants, transportation, and even finding footpaths during our stay. The 5 minute walk to central Chipping Campden from The Chance is lovely. A great B&B at a very reasonable price.

This is an excellent B&B with a good value for money ratio. The owners are friendly and helpful, the breakfast good and fresh and the rooms are cosy. My only problem was that the bed was not long enough nor was the sheet.

I stayed at The Chance for 5 nights in May 2011. The property is well kept and the owner is so gracious. The Chance is in a perfect location. You can walk into Chipping Campden in 5 minutes to have dinner or spend time in town. It is also a great location to visit nearby villages. We used it as a "home base" for the 5 days we traveled. We rented a car and could easily visit the entire Cotswolds area for day trips. Sally was so helpful and informative. She could not have been a better hostess! I highly recommend The Chance and Chipping Campden if you want to see the beautiful Cotswolds villages! I didn't want to leave.

I had quite a hard time choosing a B&B in the Cotswolds - so many to pick from! We loved The Chance, and I was so glad we ended up there. Sally is really lovely, an excellent cook and delight to talk to. She and her husband restored their home to open the B&B, and it's obvious that they take pride in doing things right. The house is tastefully decorated with unique touches, and the guest rooms feel very high quality. Nice big fluffy towells, new bathroom fixtures, wonderful bedding. The view from the front rooms is a lovely town street, and the back overlooks green farmland. We slept great and loved breakfast - we left after 2 nights with great reluctance... I felt that it was great value for money as well.

The Chance is also an easy walk into the town of Chipping Campden, which is really beautiful.
