Generally the hotel was great.
However, if you're a wheelchair user there are some issues. Firstly, I HAD TO book a Desirable room as it was the only 'accessible room' in the hotel. Thus I paid approx £20 more than I wanted/needed too, purely to have a room I could get round.
The room itself was lovely, however the bathroom wasn’t what I’d call accessible. There were grab rails and it was big enough to get a wheelchair into, however it had a bath with a shower over it, no shower stool.
This all meant I’d paid approx. £20 more that I’d have to if I wasn’t a wheelchair user, yet I couldn’t have a shower……
I did check with reception that this was what they considered to be an accessible room, I explained these issues and they said that they’d never realised!
I’d love to stay again as it was beautiful, but as I can’t have a shower, it’d have to be just for 1 night which is a shame.More
