Have stayed here on many occasions and it never fails to please. It is in a perfect spot within a short walking distance of the MEN arena, Arndale shopping centre, town, Northern Quarter and the Printworks, and a short taxi ride (less than £6.00) to Deansgate, Castlefields and Canal Street.

All the staff are very friendly, polite and helpful

Stayed in a king club deluxe room on the 3rd floor, the complimentary water and chocolate was a nice touch as was the robe and slippers. The room was spacious, clean, very nice bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. The only fault I could find if I wanted to be picky (which wasn't really a problem) was the bath took ages to fill and the water pressure in the shower was not that good.

Made good use of the Club lounge which was nice to chill out in over a few beers and canapes before going out.

Had complimentary continental breakfast in the club lounge which could be upgraded to the hot buffet breakfast for only £5.00 each, which is what we did on the second night and it was very nice with a vast selection of items all cooked and presented really well.

The only thing to take into consideration is the parking - there is no car park at the hotel but an NCP just across the road, but this will cost you £15.00 / 24hours. There is also an open carpark across the road as well for £10.00/24hrs but not sure just how secure it is.

Thank you once again to the Crowne Plaza and all the hard working staff for making our stay a very pleasurable experience. We will be back again soon.

Stayed for just one night as wanted to be close to the MEN Arena for a basketball match. The location of this hotel was perfect for this - just a few minutes walk and plenty of eating establishments in the area for a pre-event meal.
Check-in was easy and when we found our room to be sub-standard (humid and unpleasant smell with a humidifier working full-pelt to neutralise the odour), the receptionist was very attentive and rapidly allocated an alternative room.
The room had 2 double beds which suited us well with a teenager in tow, but this did make the room feel cramped. Fortunately we only needed the room as a base for sleeping and therefore did not spend much time in it.
The walls are not well sound proofed and it was therefore difficult to get to sleep with very noisy neighbours and plenty of corridor noise. We also had an unexpected call from house-keeping at 0815, when a young lady walked into our room, apologised and walked out again!
Breakfast was very disappointing. We had to wait a while before being shown to a table - well actually, it was pointed out to us across a crowded breakfast room by a rather harried member of staff. The food on offer was buffet-style - mass cooked bacon, sausages (tough skins from overcooking), beans (with skin forming on the sauce) etc. I lost my appetite after seeing these items on display and did not therefore try the standard cereals, toast etc. I did try a bowl of summer fruits, but it was mushy and sharp, I suspect it was a low-cost tinned variety.
Overall, it is probably representative of inner city 4 star hotels, where location is more important than quality. If there had been less disturbance during the night, I might have gone for 4 stars - it is what it is and I am probably grumpy after a sleepless night!

We stayed here for 2 nights for the recent Stone Roses Reunion gigs. We had the most fantastic weekend. The hotel staff were so helpful, the atmosphere in the hotel was buzzing and the bed was one of the best nights sleep we have ever had. Our standard room was beautiful, modern and clean and very spacious. For our first time in Manchester we couldn't get over how friendly everyone was, from the hotel staff, bouncers in the bars and restaurants, shop assistants, even the taxi drivers!! And to top it off the gig shuttle buses were right opposite the hotel. We will definitely be back for a shopping trip soon.

I have stayed here a few times both business and pleasure and it has always been consistantly good. The hotel is well located behind the Arndale centre and Printworks.
Checkin is fast and efficient with Priority Club members keys ready when they walk in. The corridors are a bit odd. They are painted partly black and the lighting is very low. This can make it very hard to find your room as you have to go right up to the door to see the number. The rooms are also quite darkly decorated but the windows are are huge so if you open the curtins the room is well lit. The TV is large but the HDMI ports are blocked preventing you from connecting your laptop etc to use the screen. This is presumably to persuade you to use the py per view movies. The selection of these is fine but at £10.50 per film far too expensive. There is a good cinema two minutes walk away which is several pounds cheaper. The beds are comfortable as is the chair provided in each room with a footstool.
The bathroom is good with a bath and shower. The only downpoint here is the flat bottomed sink that doesn't drain well. Overall though the room is pleasent although the decoration may not be to everybodies taste.
Room service was good but I did not use the restaurant on this occasion. I did however get use of the Club lounge which is an excellent recognition of Priority club status.
The staff were all polite and friendly and my stay was very relaxing.
Overall, this is my preferred hotel when in Manchester and I would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed on business. Exhibiting at the Gmex centre. The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern and staff were friendly. It was a bit lacking in atmosphere though.
Breakfast was buffet style so you could crack on in the morning. Very close to shudehill tram stop. Parking was directly over the road in the Printworks carpark but £45 for three days phew!!

Room Tip: Floor 7 has good vies and is far enough away from street level.

With regards to parking options, although we do not have our own car park, we do offer a valet parking service for £16 per 24hours. Alternatively there is an open air car park opposite the hotel which costs £10 for 24hours.

I hope to welcome you back to the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre the next time your travel plans permit.
