Both myself & partner stayed at the crowne plaza manchester on October 3rd, (yesterday) for a nights stay to link in with our visit to the MEN arena. We came down from Glasgow so we initially chose this hotel due to its convenience to the venue, but also for the parking facilities that were directly adjacent to the hotel. When we first arrived to the hotel we checked in with a lovely blonde haired girl at reception (sorry ant remember her name) but she was elequent and bery bubbly, makes a change from some of the reception staff you get in some 5* hotels. The corridor to the room wasn't like most hotels , it was very wide and airy, modern with thick expensive carpets, our hotel room itself was nothing less than stunning, a full wall was a window with panels of stain glass, the bed was huge and extremely comfy, there was a ceiling to floor head bored with lights inside and a 30 inch tv with sky sports ect.. The bed itself was te comfiest I've slept in. There is only two faults with this hotel.. Number one was the plug sockets by the mirror.. They didn't work, so to do my hair I had to maybe stand 2 metres away.. This would probibly hav been rectified if I called reception, but it honestly wasn't a major deal, but I understand how it could've been for some. Problem number 2 was the price of breakfast.. £30 for two people to eat breakfast in the hotel:. We kindly declined and eat in Lloyds at the printworks , two Lange English breakfasts, a banana porridge and two drinks £11. All in all, the location and hotel was fab.. And that's speaking from a very fussy person, I would go back in a minute :)
