We stayed on the 8th floor with access to the Club Lounge & I have to say it is one of the worst lounges we have encountered with no atmosphere & very little choice, both for drink & snacks. The breakfast in the lounge was basic & uninspiring.

However, the hotel is in an excellent location for shopping, bars & the MEN arena; there is ample parking across the road where you will receive a discount for being a guest of the hotel. The rooms are clean, well appointed & have a comfortable bed.

Because of the location we would stay again but would not upgrade to the Club Rooms.

Dear Wendy B,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay here at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre. I am saddened to hear that you did not enjoy all amenities of the hotel such as the Club Lounge. Thanks to yours and other guests' comments we have now improved the choice of breakfast with new items.

On another note, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the location of the hotel, close to the city centre and Phones 4 U Arena.

We hope to see you again at the Crowne Plaza again soon.

Best Regards

Stayed there the last couple of nights in a family room(2xDoubles). Must say this hotel is v clean, almost clinical, with the most comfiest of beds I've had the pleasure to sleep in. Rooms are tastefully decorated with a good range of stations on the TV. With an option for purchasing films at £5.50 each.
The bathroom was immaculate with a bath and a separate shower. No shortage of extras like soaps shampoo conditioners everything you'd expect in a 5* hotel to say the least. Also in the room there was 4 complimentary bottles of water, tea/coffee, biscuits, a safe, an iron board, and large soft towels in abundance. The WIFI was free everywhere in the hotel and worked brilliantly throughout.
The breakfast was fresh, all the usual items as you'd expect, omelette cooked fresh on request as with porridge etc. Must say the breakfast staff are very attentive to your every need, sincere and conscious workers, they deserve a pat on the back.
The bar is contemporary in style, with bar staff priding themselves on their cocktails- enough said. Yumm.
The people on reception were great, giving maps, directions, phoning taxis etc for us, so all in all, if your a family looking for a hotel in this area, look no further, stay here, it's ideal. Very close to the Arndale
Shopping Centre and high streets. There seemed to be plenty of nice bars and clubs around within walking distance. The tram is across from the Arndale SC and buses stop across the road. Taxis are outside hotel during the day.
I hope this review helps you, as we picked this place through other reviews, so give it a helpful vote if this one helps you.

Stayed there for night but it was a great experience.
Got an upgrade to a club room because of my IHG loyalty membership (Platinum), check-in was superfast (less than a minute!), got access to their club lounge which I would rate as just above average with few snacks and drinks.
- The room was pretty spacious and modern, it felt that the hotel was brand new
- Beds were very clean and comfy with lots of pillows.
- Bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower and offered very good products.
- Parking was 9 GBP per 24 hours right across the hotel
- Wifi was free for the basic speed which is good for browsing and emailing, premium speeds was chargeable.

Room Tip: Get a club room on the executive floor if you can to benefit from all extras.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location with genuinely friendly and helpful staff. We stayed two nights over a weekend and it was fabulous.

The staff had listened to our room request and we got a quiet one on a high floor; the result was silent, excellent sleeps both nights in the very comfortable beds. Indeed, the rooms have everything you need for a great stay and you are just two minutes walk into town.

I believe the hotel does have parking but we opted for an open one on Angel Street directly opposite. It is open but, at only £8 for the weekend, it's great value. All in all, a great break in a tremendous hotel.

I enjoyed my brief stay and rate it highly in terms of location, overall service, excellent breakfast service, quality of food and free WiFi. It loses points on the terribly slow dinner service and terribly slow WiFi. I didn't try to upgrade the WiFi by paying because I believe that it should be free part of the hotel price the same as utilities, clean sheets, etc.
