“Superb hotel for an airport stay”
Reviewed 5 July 2011

We stayed here prior to doing an airport pick-up and to break up our drive. First impressions were excellent, staff on reception were very help and the check-in process wasvery smooth. The hotel seemed relatively new, and the room I had was very large and clean. It was very modern and had a large pod shower, which was very good.
We had a meal deal (£22), which included a three course evening meal, a drink (beer / wine or soft drink), and included an all you can eat premier breakfast. The evening meal was of superb quality, we expected smaller portions as it was part of the meal deal, but in fact, they were full size portions. The breakfast was help yourself and was very well stocked. The staff throughout the whole hotel were very helpful and were always on hand to help and answer questions.
I would definately recommend this hotel for an airport stay and will definately stay again in the future.

We booked into this hotel after getting off a flight from Orlando, travelled through the night, and arrived at hotel around 10 a.m., I only needed the room until about 5 p.m. as we were getting a connecting flight back to Ireland in the evening, so I paid the overnight rate, which was very reasonable (£29 for family room) and for that we got a double bed, and two single beds, which worked out perfectly. The room was fine and quiet, the bathroom had plenty of towels, shower gels, etc., and as we had flown with virgin atlantic, they had given us toothbrushes and toothpaste, so we had everything we needed. The only downside was when we got up after a good sleep, around 4 p.m. or thereabouts, it wasn't possible to get anything to eat in the hotel! the restaurant was fully booked and we couldn;t get a table, and the bar were no longer serving food, I explained to a waitress that we had travelled all night, and were looking forward to getting something to eat before the taxi came to pick us up for the airport, and she kindly brought out two plates of wedges which we shared between us, and which kept us going until we got the airport, but I was a bit disappointed that there was no food available. Other than that, it was a lovely decent hotel, clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and efficient, it was an ideal stop and great value. I would certainly stay here again if every travelling that way again.

For overnight stays when going to or from Manchester airport this is a great stopover.
Very well organised to provide efficient and seamless service so you don't have to worry about anything. Very easy to get a very early morning taxi to the airport - costs 6 pounds. The regular bus service charges 3 pounds per person so a taxi offers the best deal.
The food has improved since 2009 too with a very acceptable menu with good quality food.
If all Premier Inn hotels are as good as this we would use them with confidence.

It's a standard Premier Inn. For the money (£55 this time through laterooms.com), decent enough value. Room as always was clean and modern. TV didn't work properly but I decided not to make a fuss as I wasn't planning on watching any.

Main complaint was the distance from the airport which is described as 0.9 miles. Without any English money (this was just a one-night stopover en route elsewhere), it was a prerequisite that the hotel should be walking distance. Ha! No way is this less than a mile, and not walking distance. Even if it was walking distance there is no actual way of walking it on the major roads. So I had to get taxis and wait for taxis with a card reader so I could pay by card (£12 in total). Felt pretty annoyed about this as I could have prepared for it if I'd known the truth.

That said, I would happily recommend the hotel, but just bear in mind it's not as close as they claim.

Stayed overnight before long flight. First time in Premier Inn and now will not be the last . Will use this hotel in future when flying from Manchester. Got the £29 deal for family room. This cannot be beaten.(Please note Overnight car park is £5) Check inn was quick and professional. Bar area and restaurant clean bright and friendly. Rooms were excellent ,well equipped, comfortable beds, very clean with good bathrooms and facilities (free wi fi). Rooms were very quiet and well soundproofed . Breakfast buffet was excellent (Kids U16 eat free with adult) and great value for money. Overall a brilliant start to a holiday with value for money and quality which cannot be beaten.
I combined this hotel with meet and greet at the terminal which was far far cheaper and more convenient than any other alternative available. Hotel is minutes away from the terminals.

Usual Premier Inn standards, good service and clean rooms, the family rooms are much much larger than your average premier inn room, there are walk in showers only at this hotel no bath, but all still great. Would reccommend especially as you can get the £29 deals here! The fright terminal premier inn is opposite and apparently is the newest of the 2 hotels and anyone can use it, so would prob give the freight terminal a try next time. Our room overlooked the airport terminal building, so is very close! You do have to pay a small additional fee to park overnight about £5, but nearly all airport hotels charge now-a-days.
