The hotel is a great location for Manchester airport hotel and the parking packages are great value for money. However the receptionist was unfriendly, we saw her roll her eyes at another guest. Went to the loo and found an unexpected extra, it hadn't been flushed don't think I need to expand. Had dinner which was overpriced for the quality of food. Room was far too hot even with air conditioning on lowest setting, which meant we had to open the window and could hear noise from the airport. Terrible nights sleep which was not welcome when we had to get up at 4am for our flight. Worst premier inn I have ever stayed in!

We stayed here for one night with the Sleep, Park, Fly package which was good value for money. I had checked us in online which was supposed to save time but I was told I would have to go through it all again, which was irritating. We had a family room which was a good size but far too hot, despite having put the thermostat down as low as it would go and the fan as high as it would go. It was raining and cool so external temperatures couldn't even be blamed. My husband and I barely slept a wink with a combination of being too hot and the noise from other guests' doors slamming around us and above and below. We have since stayed at another Premier Inn and the AC worked like a dream so there was clearly something wrong with the one here.

It was handy for the airport and the parking deal was great, but for the quality of sleep, I wouldn't stay here again.

one night stay prior to flight to Cypress
Great check in with very helpful staff
easy parking and only a short distance to departures
We had meet & greet service as was not aware prior to booking that the hotel can arrange that for you.
Very comfy bed and a good night sleep was had by all

As usual, a good experience at this hotel, where we often stay prior to flying out of Manchester Airport. This time we chose to use their airport parking offer, which worked like clockwork. The hotel uses the Meet and Greet parking at Manchester, which is our preferred choice anyway. We chose an 'airport view' room as they are on the quiet side of the hotel. Customer service, as usual, was superb. This is not a luxury establishment, but it doesn't pretend to be. However, the beds are some of the most comfortable you will find in any hotel. Our preferred choice when looking for a comfortable sleep at good value

Room Tip: ALWAYS ask for an 'airport view' room

and it is very close to the airport.

We stayed at this hotel twice within two weeks. The hotel would have rated 2* based on our first stay and 4* based on our second. As TA won't allow two separate reviews I've compromised and gone for three stars.

My first problem with the hotel was that when we tried to contact them before our arrival we could never get through. It is not funny to be charged 10p per minute to continually get a recording saying that they are "helping other guests" and to call back later.

We had a very early flight after our first stay and had booked the hotel's Stay and Fly package. We had no problems with this - everything worked exactly as it was supposed to. When we got to our room the AC wasn't working but there was a fan in the room; I contacted reception who managed to get the AC working but it was very noisy. They finally changed our room for us.

As we had to be up at 4-00am in the morning we had booked an early (7-00pm) time for dinner. When we got to the restaurant we thought we needn't have bothered as it was 80% empty - that was until the couple in front of us in the queue were turned away and told that there was nothing available for two hours! Service in the restaurant was very slow with the food only of a just tolerable quality. I certainly wouldn't choose to eat there if I didn't have to.

We had wondered about going to a nearby restaurant to eat and had decided that we probably wouldn't be able to move our car once we were at the hotel without having to pay an exit fee from the carpark. This is wrong - the car park works on a pay and display system so you can move your car in and out at will.

Our second stay at the hotel was when we returned from holiday. Our flight arrived back at Manchester at 11-00pm and we didn't want the drive home having been up since 4-00am that day.

Be warned that the only late night snacks on offer is a very limited range of crisps and sweets sold from a vending machine at reception. If you're arriving late make sure you eat before arriving here!

I tried to connect to the internet here and couldn't manage it - I've connected at this and other Premier Inns in the past with no problem. I didn't bother contacting reception to resolve the issue as it was very late. We just went to bed! Premier Inns - you lost out on a fee because your internet wasn't working.

Breakfast this morning was very good. As all Premier Inns offer the same breakfast I don't see why some are good and some bad but this breakfast was good.

Would I stay here again? No. Not because of the hotel but it took us over 90 minutes to clear security at the airport on the way out and 30 minutes to clear passport control (just passports, not disembarkation, baggage reclaim or customs) on the way back. The baggage carousel also jammed which caused us further delays. The hotel is quite acceptable but I won't be flying out of Manchester again in the near future.

Room Tip: If you want dinner at the hotel (not recommended) book several days before you stay.
