If like me you stay in chain hotels all the time, it makes a refreshing change to stay somewhere that has a bit of character. The rooms are all different, I have stayed in several and they are all decorated very well. The bathroom is lovely and I like the rubber duck! Yes it can be noisy but take some ear plugs along, it's rare for hotels nowadays not to be noisy. If you can afford to get one of the balcony rooms. Agreed the breakfast isn't the best (last time my poached eggs tasted of vinegar yak) but overall don't let this put you off. definitely recommended, every time I'm here for work in Manchester I book this hotel and have just booked up for next week and July.
