We stayed for three nights at the Park Inn Manchester in August 2011. Check-in was easy and efficient and the Reception Staff were very pleasant. This was our third stay at this hotel.
The twin room consisted of two (small) single beds, 2 chairs and a table, dressing table with LCD TV (with remote), tea tray, phone and an area for hanging clothes. There was a stand for one suitcase to sit on. The room had a free safe for any valuables.
The bathroom had a bath with a shower, a sink and toilet. A shower gel dispenser, shower cap, tissues, 2 glasses, etc. were all provided as were fluffy towels, a floor mat and a rubber mat to prevent you slipping in the bath when having a shower.
The room was clean and tidy, with white bed linen. The maid came everyday and replaced the towels if required. You could request an iron and ironing board from House Keeping and there was an ice machine available which we used to keep drinks cool. The room had air conditioning which worked to cool or warm the room as required.
The only annoyance we had was that the glass partition over the bath, designed to stop the water from the showing cascading across the room, did not work and there was a puddle on the tiled floor after you had a shower.
Room Service is available, but at a price. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast for £8 and it was of a good quality. However, when busy, the restaurant can be a bit noisy with people queuing for food. The hotel has a pool which is pleasant enough although we did not use it on this occasion. There is a Spa for massage, facials, etc.
Car parking at the MEN Arena Car Park was £10 per day and appeared secure enough for our needs. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the Printworks and a 2 minute walk to the MEN Arena.
Overall the hotel was good value for money (we paid £63 per night for a three night weekend stay) and would happily recommend the hotel.
