Very nice new hotel in great city centre location for heading north. Close to M602 which gets you to all the motorways north or south. Stylish hotel at reasonable price. We used Radisson points for some of cost, no problem. We had dinner in the restaurant, great experience, good food and wine. I don't consider myself picky but I stay in alot of nice places and experienced traveller and I have no reservations about recommending. The NCP car park is just across the street ten pounds 24 hours no problem. Close to everything downtown, nice restaurants etc. Room has full glass wall to ceiling -- cool views of Pennines --- enjoy

Room Tip: All good no bad ones

I would have given this hotel 5 stars but for the price of the wi-fi, £14 a night is quite simply a joke.
Other than that the hotel is just what you would want at the price, although there are better hotels cheaper in Manchester, it's clean, the rooms are a good size, pillows are excellent and it is quiet.
Food was good and the staff very friendly. Sort out free wi-fi and I will be back!

Hi DubaiWeegie

Thanks for reviewing the hotel following your recent stay with us. Apologies you feel the charge for wi-fi access is unacceptable, please be assured that with all the feedback we receive I continually review our wi-fi charging policy. We are currently running a promotion to give free wi-fi access if you dine in RBG bar & grill.

Great to read that the rest of your stay was 5 star and I do hope that you consider us for any future visits to Manchester.

Many thanks

Stayed here last weekend, nice clean hotel with a very mixed crowd from OAP coach parties to Stag and Hen parties.

Checking in went smoothly although the lady who booked us in should perhaps go on a personality course, we got access to our rooms even though we were early but would have liked to have been given directions as to what floors we were on .

Rooms.. good size

Beds 2 single mattresses on double base in the double rooms, not really comfortable ,only one pillow per person ,twin room better but still only one pillow per bed .
Information on how to use the air con and heating would have been a help.
One of our rooms was opposite the lift ,this itself did not cause a problem just the noise from stag and hen dos coming in up until 4 a.m did, there was also a vending machine outside the room with very expensive chocolate and crisps which could have caused some disturbance.

Bathroom ..

Nice size, only liquid soap available no shower hats, flannels etc, just a note of warning in one of our rooms there was a step into the shower which if you walked into it during the night could (and was) be very painful!
We found the Lighting in the bathroom in all 3 rooms was awful, very dim and also no shaving/make up mirror which is essential for us ladies to do our make up !

Bar area .

Was on the small side once there were groups in there with 4 or 5 mobility scooters and it seemed a bit short staffed ,had quite a wait to be served each time.
There is a terraced deck outside of the bar where smokers can go that has heating and lighting .
The toilets in the reception area are communal so be warned !

Dining.

We had a meal in the restaurant and did pre book ,we ordered drinks but after half an hour had to ask when they would be served ,once again too many people and not enough staff, a few tables were complaining they had been given wrong drink orders some more than once.
The meal itself was excellent, cooked to order and nicely presented .
Breakfast itself was also very good with a great choice, one of the best I have seen but the tables could have been cleaner as could some of the crockery.

We checked out early due to going to an exhibition but we were able to leave our cases in a locked luggage room whereupon you were given a ticket to reclaim it.

Overall it was a pleasant stay only marred by the late night / early morning revellers who I think should be kept to one floor ,it should be obvious when large single sexed groups book they are going to be a bit rowdy and the management should take this into account ,this would be one of the reasons I do not think I would stay here again ,I wanted a relaxing break with a good nights sleep which I found impossible ,perhaps some security would help ensure other guests are not disturbed after all we have paid as well .
There also seemed to be a distinct lack of any sort of management which I found quite strange after all when you stay in a hotel you usualy see a front of house manager or restaurant manager at some time during your stay ..not here.

Room Tip: Ladies take a make up mirror ! and ask for a room away from the lifts.

Dear TORII

Thank you for your review and feedback. |t is disappointing to read that due to a lack of numbers in service and presence of the management team that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. It is reassuring to read the positives throughout your review, which I will share with the team.

Unfortunately we are limited to reacting to noise and disturbances created by guests however please accept my apologies for the impact they had on your stay. I fully understand the inconvenience caused and please be assured that we do proactively manage the single sex groups advising them what behaviour we will and will not tolerate.

Your feedback is invaluable to assist the team with fine tuning our service and the guest experience. If you wish to discuss your stay further with me or intend to return to Manchester in the near future please do not hesitate to contact me direct at the hotel.

Many thanks

I really enjoyed staying at Park Inn and would stay here again without a doubt. The room was very nice, the shower a treat. The bed was big and comfy and i was never disturbed by noise. The gym, pool, sauna and steam facilities in the basement are excellent; the pool area is very relaxing. My breakfast in bed was served on time and was nice enough. The flaws: wifi is not free and the charge for it is hefty, and i could get no 3G signal to my iphone. Also, I would have thought the ironing board may have been a complimentary thing, but that was also charged to the room bill. Other than that, a very pleasurable place to stay. And a bargain for a new, four star hotel at 51 pounds per night.

Hi Stevestorey,

Thanks for reviewing the hotel, much appreciated and great to read you enjoyed your stay with us.

It is a little alarming to read that we charged you for the iron and ironing board, this simply should not be the case, if you would like to discuss this and allow me to refund please contact me directly at the hotel.

I hope that you will consider us for future visits to Manchester and should you be returning in the near future feel free to drop me a line and I will make the arrangements for you!

Thanks
Neil

Check out any offers- we chose late check out until 6, which was very welcome indeed. We stayed for one night , but it felt longer with having late checkout. Meant we could have a leisurely swim- go out in Manchester for the day then come back for a drink and wash before leaving for home. The room was spotless. Would like to praise the cleaning staff on the third floor- even noticed the male cleaner on his hands and knees scrubbing the floor in a room- very impressive ! We only had one chair and the supervisor got us another on request. It was no trouble. Altogether, it was a very pleasant stay and we would recommend it for a city break as close to Victoria Station, the M.E.N. Arena, Printworks and the central shops.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Big Wheel- we didnt but would prefer that side of hotel if we stay again.

We stayed for three nights at the Park Inn Manchester in August 2011. Check-in was easy and efficient and the Reception Staff were very pleasant. This was our third stay at this hotel.

The twin room consisted of two (small) single beds, 2 chairs and a table, dressing table with LCD TV (with remote), tea tray, phone and an area for hanging clothes. There was a stand for one suitcase to sit on. The room had a free safe for any valuables.

The bathroom had a bath with a shower, a sink and toilet. A shower gel dispenser, shower cap, tissues, 2 glasses, etc. were all provided as were fluffy towels, a floor mat and a rubber mat to prevent you slipping in the bath when having a shower.

The room was clean and tidy, with white bed linen. The maid came everyday and replaced the towels if required. You could request an iron and ironing board from House Keeping and there was an ice machine available which we used to keep drinks cool. The room had air conditioning which worked to cool or warm the room as required.

The only annoyance we had was that the glass partition over the bath, designed to stop the water from the showing cascading across the room, did not work and there was a puddle on the tiled floor after you had a shower.

Room Service is available, but at a price. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast for £8 and it was of a good quality. However, when busy, the restaurant can be a bit noisy with people queuing for food. The hotel has a pool which is pleasant enough although we did not use it on this occasion. There is a Spa for massage, facials, etc.

Car parking at the MEN Arena Car Park was £10 per day and appeared secure enough for our needs. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the Printworks and a 2 minute walk to the MEN Arena.

Overall the hotel was good value for money (we paid £63 per night for a three night weekend stay) and would happily recommend the hotel.

Dear Conners70_11

Thank you for your review and choosing to stay with us for a third time. Apologies that the glass partition screen was not fit for purpose, following your feedback it has been a focus with maintenance team and has been rectified.

I hope to welcome you back for a fourth stay in the near future!

Stayed here for 2nights after booking through Laterooms. On arrival the first room we were given had not been cleaned. We went to reception who gave us a second room. Yet again this had only been partially cleaned! After going down again to complain we were offered a third room which was ok. Worryingly the receptionist who showed us to the third room said that "this is a common problem we have had recently". The room was similar to any you would get in a premier inn. The only thing going for this hotel was the swimming pool but it wasn't worth the extra expense when stacked up against the problems above and an average breakfast service and meal. Stay elsewhere!
