The hotel is situated in a very central location of Manchester close to the city center and the shopping district. The rooms are quite modern looking and efficiently spacious with comfortable beds. Much better than any other chain hotel of this price range. Their restaurant ambience does not look like much but the food they offer is rather tasty within a reasonable price range. I would recommend it to anyone looking for visiting manchester.

Stayed here for one night in December after a concert at the Arena. You'd be hard pressed to find a better located hotel for the MEN as the hotel is situated right across the road from the NCP car park that is attached to the arena.

The rooms are very clean and modern. Parking was across the road at the NCP, but if you ask at the front desk at checkout the hotel will validate your ticket to get a parking discount.

We thought the hotel was good value for the convenient location on a concert night. Only 4 stars instead of 5 though, as I found it wierd that they ask you to pre-authorise your credit card on check in for the amount of the room plus an extra £50 charge on top up front, just in case (as if to say, hey we think you might charge stuff to your room and run off without paying or something!?). Never had that before in a hotel, but not a big deal really, just a surprise.

All in all a very good hotel and a nice stay, would definitely stay here again if in Manchester.

I stayed at this hotel on a cold wet January evening when perhaps the established was not at capacity. I had a very nice big room with modern decoration and a large comfortable bed and I had a very quiet night's sleep. I went for a swim in the pool in the morning and used the gym briefly. I had the pool to myself, which was pleasant, although I must confess by this point I was beginning to feel a little lonely. I avoided breakfast as I somewhat dislike the way that many hotels now no longer include it in the price of the room and often charge at a level that is considerably above that of any local independent cafe. For the record, I never asked about the rates for a breakfast here as I knew a couple of great places in town.

All in all, a relaxing, quiet and enjoyable stay in a central location that is sufficiently out of town to avoid too much late night bawling and shouting.

This is a new modern hotel very well situated on the edge of the center of Manchester, ideally located for seeing concerts at the MEN arena. It is about five minutes walk to the Printworks, as a previous reviewer says its not the nicest of areas. The room was comfortable and a nice size, our bathroom only had a shower with no bath. (our soap in our shower was empty, which it the problem with the hotels that use these bulk dispensers.) The Black pool looks great but if is quite small and has a limited capacity, perhaps 10 of were using it was feeling full. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was of a good standard, the only negative point was that the charged extra for a hot chocolate, which seemed a bit petty.

This hotel is new, trendy and modern and has a great pool and spa area. I found all the staff to be helpful and friendly and the bedroom was well laid out, with everything you need such as plugs by mirrors for your straightners, tea/coffee facilities, comfy bed and useful desk/work area.

The breakfast choice was excellent (help yourself buffet) with unlimited coffee and the restaurant and bar area have a nice atmosphere.

This hotel is a little way from the city centre, and if you walk from Piccadilly station with luggage it seems a bit of a trek (about 25 min walk), but for the price you cant ask for more - and it is only a 10 minute walk from the main shopping centre.

I would stay here again definitely.

Hi PamK45,

Thank you for taking the time to review hotel.

I look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit. If you are coming in to Piccadilly station you can jump on the tram over to Victoria station or there is also a free bus.

Hope this helps,

We stayed here for an evening in november whilst down to watch manchester untied play.
The hotel itself is situated very close to the city centre where there is an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants. I would recommend mr thompsons chop shop for something to eat.
The rooms at the park inn were clean and fresh, with the basic ammenities. These included lcd televsion, tea and coffee, telephone and safety deposit box. On arrival there was also complimentary water and shortbread.
The bathroom was clean, with some toiletries supplied.

Overall there was nothing outstanding about the hotel room, but everything was as it should be and the cleanliness of the room was very good, easily achieving 4/5.

Breakfast was pretty good for the price and would also recommend this option, its a buffet with plenty of choice.
To also add, the staff were very pleasant and attentive, giving plenty of advice on the local area.
Furthermore the hotel itself seemed quite new and has a modern feel which was very nice.

we paid £60 bed and breakfast for 1 night

Room Tip: rear of hotel so that you are away from the road side

i stayed here with a friend for a night as it was pretty cheap and central - expected a travel lodge standard hotel but was very pleasantly surprised...
the hotel is obviously pretty new so all the common areas are nicely decorated...the rooms were clean, bright and modern, comfy beds, good biscuits, good sized bathroom (no bath but nice big shower)
we used the pool and gym downstairs - which is free for guests and open late - the black pool (its like stepping into the abyss) is a bonus and (again) was very clean and nice to use
the buffet breakfast is standard fayre but even at the end of breakfast there was still lots of food available
the big plus point was the reception staff - andrei during the day and a young man in the evening - if carlsberg did hotel reception staff they would be like this - really very helpful, efficient and polite
(gym man also v helpful and we got reception to bring us more pillows and a hairdryer - which they arranged very quickly - ive waited +1 hour for this in much better hotels)
so...the bad bits...there werent really many so this was really almost a 5 - the area isnt the best so not great for wandering back at night and the breakfast staff werent really up to the high standard set by the other staff - we waited a while to get tea and had to ask in the end - but that is really about it
great value city centre hotel - keep up the good work
