“Good day out”
Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

Went here with our three year old and grandparents. Could have been a bit more to keep little man occupied and more interactive stuff would be nice. However was free entry and gift shop was reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit and the food in the restaurant is very good although this area could have been bigger as we struggled to get a table.

“Excellent and unique museum”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

The Manchester museum is actually part of the University of Manchester as I understand. I loved the Ancient Age exhibit as they had a few sarcophagi and one of the sarcophagus even had the mummy still in it. There were also lots of Ancient Egypt artifacts on display,

I was most impressed with the Vivarium where they had several endangered frog species on display and the conservation efforts being done by the Zoology Department of the University of Manchester on behalf of the endangered frog species of the world.

Overall spent a pleasant afternoon wandering around the museum.

“A fun couple of hours”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

This is such a great place to take the children or yourselves on a rainy day. Very old building with beautiful character with plenty to see and learn. Great history and love the animals area and Egyptian part. Chrlildren loved the giant T Rex and the top floor with the snakes and frogs. Great way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day in a great city
